When is 60fps Video Recording coming to RP2?

Many moons ago it was claimed that 60fps video recording was going to come to the Razer Phone with an update (https://www.facebook.com/minliangtan/posts/1595502560507520?__tn__=-R) . Which hasn't happened.

The Razer Phone 2 has now been released, and the video is still 30fps.

I know there's a modified Google Camera app, https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/, but you'll find that if you use it to record 60fps (when you find the option) and check out the resulting video file created, it's actually still 30fps. This almost seems like a hardware limitation, or it's not made accessible via software.

The RP1 is allegedly hardware limited to 30fps (https://www.reddit.com/r/razerphone/comments/9u70im/can_the_rp2_not_do_1080p_60fps_video/e92qi42/) so it would take some software interpolation to increase the framerate, but the RP2 should be capable.

Has anyone tried chasing this down by opening a case with Razer Support to get an answer?

Same. And I did in fact ask Razer Support some weeks ago, and I was told:
"Good day!

We got word that the phone's camera are locked to record only 30fps.

So the capture of your phone is normal to have 30 fps only."
Then, I referenced the support rep to the articles where it was stated that the Razer Phone 2 natively was supposed to have 60fps video from various respected Android blog sources, and I got this response:
"Good day! We apologize on getting back late to you.

We would like to clarify that first. I can't give an exact answer yet but I will get back to you with that.

Thank you and have a good day! "
