My understanding is that we are still waiting for a Beta release, and the beta release will be compatible with the two new Lancehead mice (Tournament Edition and Wireless). I bought the Lancehead Tournament Edition last month, and there is still no Synapse 3.0 Beta released for that mouse (that I am aware of). You can sign up for notifications here (bottom of the page):

I recommend you just sign up and wait...

Any information as to if the older peripherals will work with the new synapse 3.0? i have the beta installed at the moment using the new Chroma Hardware Development kit. Sadly is the only device that shows up and i have two Blackwidow keyboards, two Mamba mice, a Firefly and Kracken chroma 7.1

As far as I can tell, Razer has not said when older peripherals will be supported, however as Synapse 3 is clearly meant to eventually replace Synapse 2.0, it stands to reason that older peripherals will be supported by the time of the release version of the software.

To download Razer Synapse 3.0 Beta: https://www.razerzone.com/synapse-3

And list of supported devices: Synapse 3.0 Devices Supported at the moment: Razer Lancehead, Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition, Razer Chroma Hardware Development Kit

Other Devices still use Synapse 2.0 to configure settings.

The new Razer Atheris mouse should be supported by Synapse 3 too.

Nice find :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: But why CLG version? On the other side CLG was released around 2013, so maybe other older devices will be supported in Synapse 3 too (i hope so) :)

So you cannot configure anything else than Lancehead TE? I bought it but if that is the case i would like to retain control of rest of my devices or do you run Synapse 2 and 3 together?

As far as I'm aware, you run Synapse 2 and 3 together but anything that supports both will only show up in Synapse 3.

You can run 2.0 and 3.0 at the same time, and probably will need to for the time being assuming you have more than a Razer mouse in your stable of owned products. It is, however, built into Cortex, so if you are already running that you at least don't have three things running.

Thanks for the info! I think i am going to wait until there is only one program though :]

What more does 3.0 bring to Lancehead btw?

3.0 brings a hypershift function, which unlocks a second layer with a press and hold of any of the buttons. So the number of programmable keys effectively doubles, which is good. I own the Lancehead TE myself, and it also allows one to program the lighting effects on the mouse down to a per-LED basis, which is also really cool.

If you install Synapse 3.0, any devices that are 3.0 compatible will preferentially be detected by 3.0, and not Synapse 2.0. As far as I know, there's no way to revert back to synapse 2.0.

    Hope I helped :)

Edit: It also looks significantly cleaner and more user-friendly IMO.

I've spoken to a guy at Razer booth on a gaming convention recently, he said that it will be in a few days, probably. I heard it's much more stable on win10 than Synapse 2, and that's the thing I'm mostly looking for. With Synapse 2, I have to reinstall it every couple days because it just refuses to start up :/

Min, during yesterday's keynote confirmed that synapse 3 will support older legacy devices

I'm hoping that it comes out pretty soon, Mainly because I can't wait to see all the new features that they added with the better design as well, And I really want to be able to customize the lighting on my Firefly finally to match up my whole setup for Christmas, Because I am one of those people that do that :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

Min did say it would be coming out very soon for legacy devices, So I expect before Christmas. I think they may have got enough beta information back with how it works and what bugs it has from the devices that they have released on it so far, And they might not want to wait to release it too long, Since people are buying new devices along with having older devices, Meaning they need to have 2 different versions of synapse running at the same time, And for some older system that might use up a bit of system power.
