Okay, a little bit of background here. I'm planning to continue my studies in Australia in my next 3 years, particularly at Hobart in the island of Tasmania. I would be carrying my 13 inch Macbook Pro along with other stuff like my iPad, portable battery charger, mouse, books, pencil case, and maybe even home made food. I would probably be walking a lot outdoors, maybe even in harsh weather like snow and rain.

I've been browsing on the Razer gear section and I noticed there were 3 types of bags. The Tactical Pro, Mercenary and Utility. Has anyone actually owned one of these mentioned here? I would like to hear some real user feedback before I make my decision to purchase one. What do you guys think about those bags? Any recommendations? I've never really got hands on experience on these bags.

in my experience the tactical pro is too big to be a daily life bagpack

It depend how much stuff you gonna bring it out. I would recommend getting the tactical bag small one not too big and it can fit 15 inch laptop / 12.9 ipad pro

If you travel a lot and prefer to have on big bag then I suggest going for the Tactical Pro. I have owned one for about 7 months now and it's durability is amazing. But I do have to agree that it's REAAALLY big.

I like the look of the top left one. I personally think the tactical pro is too big. But then again I have a pretty small laptop (blade stealth) so don't need much space.

i find that for everyday use the tactical pro backpack is reaaaaly big but great for a whole gaming setupo on the go but my personal favourite is the mercenary, it is comfy not too big and i used it for about 5 months for my school and it was great.

I own both the Tactical Pro and the standard Tactical backpack and I'd go pro every single time if I'm carrying anything PC/laptop related. We only pull out the standard for daily outings that have nothing to do with laptops or gaming. I also find that with the side straps that can pull the Pro in and tighten up the profile it can take up a lot less space than initially thought. I suspect that would always be my first recommendation for anyone wanting a backpack.

All too gaudy for me! I went with the, imo, much more betterer "Adventurer's Leather Backpack of Holding": http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/iptj/

Perfect size for a blade, charger and my new Razer Orochi wired/wireless gaming mouse!

LinusTechTips really likes the tactical pro, and if money was no object, thats the one I would buy myself.

Yeah, I think I should take the Tactical Pro for long term usability. The rain shield would be great for weather resistance.
