I will buy my first Razer keyboard soon and I believe that my choice will go for the Blackwidow Ultimate 2016 Stealth version, which seems to be the best to me in terms of quality/price (EU - Belgium).

It has backlighting, numpad, usb pass-through + audio output, and finally orange mechanical switches so I won't annoy my whole family with the clicky noise.

I don't know what are the features that are particular to the 2016 version, I've just seen that it does cost less than the other versions.

you can see the BW X ultimate that has mx blue cherry keys which cost less. the 2016 version do not have the macro keys to answer your question :)

The newer versions of the Blackwidow series are much better than the old ones. I don't really recommend the Blackwidow X series unless you really like the look. The older versions have more features, like USB Passthrough, mic passthrough, macro keys ect. Hopefully they will update the Blackwidow Chroma to have the new material.

depends. since some user are not using the USB pass through, mic i tend to have mistypes because of the macros. so it really depends on the one who will use it.

I'm using AZERTY keyboard, I guess that I haven't seen that available on the BW X Ultimate and so I ended up thinking about the BW Ultimate 2016 =)
I also thought that a Stealth version was nice because I am very interested in the mechanical switches for the feeling they provide but I think that I could be annoyed by the clicky noises (I am currently using a laptop so the keyboard noise is not loud at all).
EDIT: Thanks for the information Ivanborgiey :)

well for definitely you will be able to feel the difference of the non-mech to mech regardless if it is stealth of the normal one :) a lot of people do not want the clicky noise. i got escalated in our office because i am using a BW X ultimate hahaha good thing they still allowed me to bring my own peripherals. 2016 version is nice but remember the stealth version is a lil bit expensive over the normal green switch

Must be funny to see some people working with their chroma gear ^^
Actually the price stays the same in my country whether it is stealth or green switches, I guess that I can be pretty happy about that if you tell me that's not like that in other parts of the world =)

the difference is around $5-7 but still it says something why stealth's price is higher than the green ones. :)

I wish they would come up with a volume rocker like the cosair on the blackwidow, would be much easier... also, perhaps lit up the volume rocker with chroma!

with green switch? how long are you using it?

  15. If you make youtube videos then you most diffidently should go with the Blackwidow Sleath and I prefer the 2014 version because it has Macro keys

How is the blackwidow x different from the blackwidow ultimate 2016? apart from the built material?

Hvn't got a try at the BW X yet. Comfort wise seems would be an issue for me seeing as where you rest your wrist seems lower. For BW chroma(the normal one) i use with wrist rest so could be use for the X i guess. Deathstalker though with the big built in wrist rest is comfortable for long hours though.

I usually have to bent my wrist when i use my blackwidows. Hope they can make the height lower. I somehow also felt my blackwidow x has a higher tilt than my blackwidow chroma.
