Been playing for a while and keep noticing that the spread on which dps people play i huge. Im trying to main a couple to become helpful to my team instead of trying to master them all at the same time. What is your recommendation? Are you like me or are you one of those guys who keep on changing hero several times a match? :D

I'm one of those who first picks "favourite" heros (of course depending on team and/or if it's qp or comp play). Then what match brings to you: enemy heros, team working together etc. stuff . Depends on those pretty much how often I then need a hero change during one match.

    My strongest dps? Probably Reaper

It feels like some play a DPS that they can´t control, like the high skill tier ones, Hanzo and Mcree for example.

If you work on your aim and improve it, maybe spend 2 hours trying various things with each hero, then you will improve drastically, no matter what you do. As long as you have good aim, then you will be fine on most heroes.

There is indeed something in these two heroes that makes them feel... how can I say this... Glitchy!.
I personally try to avoid these guys in comp play but in qp I try to pick them as often as possible, for training of course.
But as I said before, these guys feel glitchy imo. You kind of have to try and learn not to hit to be able to hit a sh*t.

really situational. if you have a good mercy, I favor going with pharah. even moreso on maps where people like to congregate onto 1 area

For now when I've been using more of my playtime to actual practice than just "grinding", I've been getting some results with Hanzo/Widow. Very strong heros dealing extra damage to your team without needing to be supported by healer all the time.

I've been playing Tracer since the Beta. Highly recommend her. She's also arguably the stongest DPS right now, although Mcree, Soldier and Widow are really good as well (Widow is really situational though, be willing to change if you can't hit your shots or you keep getting countered by having tanks constantly in your face).

If you can land your shots and want to be on the frontlines all the time, nothing beats a McCree if you go for headshots while nothing beats the overall versatility of a soldier in terms of an offensive push. Plus if you get damaged you can always heal yourself, great for random teammates who wont pick support or a healer.

I'd say the raw damage throughput is probably the highest with Reaper and Junkrat.

I'm a hanzo main mostly, but i spend much time with him in quick play though not too much in comp. I like his type like widow too, but when it comes to compepetitive i mostly play pharah or soldier, not that good with tank nor heal. But with a good healer hanzo can be very good in competitive, if you have the skills of course.

its not about which characters are the strongest, its about which ones you feel natural with ive mained genji since post-nerf and im way better than any other hero not because he's good tho

    Long Story short.
It's not which DPS is the strongest, It's the DPS you can play well with.
Not everyone mains the same hero ;P
I first started OW in near end of Season 3 Competitive, Was a Junkrat main, Gradually some hog then became a Pharah main. When my comp games end up becoming throw comp matches, I just hop on hanzo and practice ;P and now in Season 7, I actually spent most my time playing Hanzo in competitive, ofc the win rate isnt looking good when majority of your team gets triggered right off the bat you playing hanzo with 100+ games and a 39% win rate, but generally, on Hanzo I tend to outdmg junkrats / pharah / 76 players Lol (Normally without a Zarya too) Barely ever wombo combo lel Definitely love getting POTG's without a Dragon Strike into a Graviton Surge.

Extremely situational on team comp and map so I wouldn’t say there is a clear best, sombra has got the lowest win to loss ration though out of all heroes so she is probably the worst

  17. for me, I think reaper is the best choice. Junk, roadhog and mei is not bad too.
