Hello to all members of the forum, I am getting a razer chroma v2 very soon and don't know which one to get. I like to green clicky noise but I play with my friends a lot and record gameplay. It would be great if I could have recommendations

    Thank you

Put simply: If you're going to be doing anything with audio (calling, recording, etc.), it's best to go with a more quiet switch, in this case the Razer Orange.

If you want to try them for yourself, you can get a Cherry MX Switch Tester, In Cherry MX switches, the blue/green switches are like Razer's Green, brown/clear(white) are like Orange, and the black/red are like the new Yellow. (The switch tester is a nice little desk toy too, I often use it to show my friends how lucky they are that I use quiet switches)

If noise is a concern, if you go with the Orange switches, you can make them even quieter by applying O-Rings. I'd personally recommend this setup, you still get a tactile feedback and the click is still audible (even through headphones), but less likely to be picked up on most mics (except the spacebar, that is still quite loud)

To be even quieter, you could go with the new Yellow switches, though you don't get the tactile feedback

Thank you very much for replying but the thing is I'm ordering on amazon and I need it on amazon for next day. And the orange switch is out of stock so when I order the keyboard and it is still out of stock should I go with the yellow switches

    Thanks

Many people dislike linear switches like the Yellow variety, but you may get used to them.
The issue is the only feedback to know the key has been correctly pressed is the key bottoming out. This often results in more typos and a (minuscule) slowdown in your typing speed as you need to wait until the key is fully pressed to release.
The positive is they are the most silent of any switch (especially if you add O-Rings, though that may lead to more typos) as there is no "click" whatsoever (except for bottoming out, which if you're careful or add O-Rings is practically silent)

If you're going to be getting a keyboard anyway, you should get one of those mercury colored blackwidow X. It comes with the switch that you like (green) and IMO are the best looking keyboards of the entire blackwidow lineup.

Blackwidow X's are green switch only, no matter where you buy it from.
