Why did I buy a Razer Blade Stealth 2018?

    Hello everyone, I have never been so peeved off with a laptop purchase ever. I saved up all of my money to get a Razer Blade Stealth 2018 (Quad core) which I wanted to get for College work and Photography however I am so displeased with my purchase. Screen keeps on flickering and a USB port does not work. I love the laptop but with all of these issues? No thanks. Sadly I cant refund the system at all but does anyone know how to get the screen to stop flickering on the new Razer Blade Stealth? If not I will have to return it to Razer during Summer when I have finished College so it can be repaired.

    Try updating Intel UHD 620? driver directly from intel or use the one on Razer support page. But if USB port has issue I would return it back if I were you. I like mine even bezel are thick, it’s just perfect ultrabook that could transform to nearly maxq 1070 gaming Laptops with the core and an 1080ti;)

    I have tried updating drivers, backdating drivers. Nothing seems to work. Its just frustrating because I used to have the 6th Gen i7 1060 Gaming laptop from Razer and that issues too :slightly_sad: Ill return the lappy to Razer after my course is done which is in July :)

    It sounds like yours needs a trip to Razer for some warranty work for sure, but there are a few things to try which might help with the display flicker.

    First off, the backlight is apparently PWM-driven, so turning the brightness all the way up should reduce any flickering from that, but it really shouldn't be evident to begin with.

    Next, there's the "Content Adaptive Brightness Control" - according to Razer there's no official way to turn this off, yet (https://support.razer.com/gaming-laptops/razer-blade-stealth-13-2017/), but I found this post on Reddit which includes links to the necessary software (as well as instructions) to do just that (https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/7fhtn7/is_there_a_way_to_turn_off_cabc_content_adaptive/).

    Note: All of these things will greatly decrease your battery life, and I make no guarantees that they'll fix the flicker. YMMV and all that...

    my screen likely to pop out from the bezel.. like they glued it not all of it on the backside.. or maybe the glue is something thats not so good.. because playing adhesive on the touchscreen is likely to be a risky thou..
