Why is the razer phone 1 so lame

I brought this phone in the false promise
It's a gaming phone!

When I try and connect a PS4 and Xbox one controller to the phone, the phone and controller act as if the analogue sticks are being pressed when they not..

When I connect the same controllers to Huawei pro 20 they work fine,

Also lost the usb c jack that came with the phone so I brought a third party replacement and it doesn't work with the phone, but again it works with the Huawei,

So a lame phone that doesn't allow using third party stuff..

Not going be buying the razer 2
Shame

The usb c aspect is probably due to the usb c adapter you bought not being an active cable
It works with other phones how come now this phone..

Any help on why PS4 controllers don't function right..

Some phones (e.g. The Razer phone) need an active cable due to more features, it really depends on the phone.
On the PS4 controller I'm not sure how to help but I wouldn't recommend playing with a ps4 controller to begin with.
Buy an active USB C cable (since you lost yours) and consider buying a controller designed for android for the best experience.

Your third party USB-C/headphone jack needs DAC built in.

Also The Microsoft’s Xbox One Controller is now supported on Android Pie. Long live the Pie.

I have used this 3rd party USB-C jack since March. No issues, works great.

So the phone is lame because it doesn't support some chinese no-name adapter and a controller not designed to work with it in the first place? How about using the correct spec adapter (or even a OEM one) and a controller designed for android devices.
I have tried a cheap £30 android controller, still is doesn't work,

Plus since the update my games show black screen and my camera will shut off soon as I go to record,

Will never invest in a razer mobile again to be honest,

I've had Sony, Samsung, Huawei never a problem since this phone always problems,
Every thing on the store stats might not be optimised for the device,

Just my opinion

Yes, the issue with the update is well known. Reset game booster and use default values or turn it off entirely.

Not sure about the controller, I use a SpeedLink MYON bluetooth controller (it's 20 bucks) and works like a charm. Never had any issues or stability problems (and I run a full-blown ubuntu distro on it through termux). You may have just gotten a bad phone.

I believe every mass production company use their first product as a guinea pig or test subject; and so that they can build something better for their next production in line

RAZER phone 2 is better than phone 1.
There is a word that RAZER is working on RAZER phone 3? I'm looking forward to that one, because it will be better than phone 2. Hopefully
