Will the current Insider Rewards be renewed or replaced for the new year?

    I see that the current Razer Insider rewards say that they are only valid until December 31st.
    I understand that nobody may know for sure, but what do you guys think? Does anyone know what will happen to them? I was hoping to be able to eventually get the Kraken Mobile (which I am pretty close to achieving), but I definitely won't reach the post req until after the new year?

    What are you guys hoping or thinking will happen for the rewards?

    we had a huge thread going on this when they expired in july, and they didnt renew for a couple months. I think one of the mods said that they are revamping the whole system for the new year. it should be good...looking forward to seeing what they have in store :)

    As Katana said.
    Razer is currently working on revamping the Rewardsystem, but to my acknowledge there isn't a fix date yet :)
    They are planning to make the "achieving a reward"-process more difficult, so users can't just spam posts.

    They also say it in the last sentence ;)

    This should be a good thing. I don't think it's good to have the rewards based on number of posts. That causes users to spam posts or post lesser quality, shorter, more frequent posts. I think it would be better for the community if they could do something else while still providing the same awesome rewards. I'm not sure how that could possibly work though.

    Personally, I hope they pull out the new system ASAP!!

    I have no idea when it'll actually happen, but in my opinion the sooner, the better. I still find so many people who make teeny-tiny 3-6 word posts repeatedly and then just assume that the rules don't apply to them. (read the link in my signature if you have questions about the rules)

    I'm sure that no matter how things are designed people will still try to find the easy way or a "cheat" their way up the scale -- but I'd love to see people posting because they really want to get to know their fellow Insiders and because they have meaningful things to say/share rather than worry about how fast they can move up the posting ladder.

    It just takes time. I tried to be more active a year or two ago and I just didn't have the time.
    Fortunately now I have a different(better) job and it's actually slower at most times(IT) so I have time to just browse and contribute. The only problem is a lot of external links are blocked by our companies security policies! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
    I'm sure if they found out what "category" this site fell under, they'd block it too, but until then I shall post away!

    I'm just glad that any kind of "working" I do is from home. The idea of working in an corporate environment again just makes me shudder. hehehe

    That would be so awesome. I would love to work from home. Occasionally I will be on call over the weekend here though, but that's not the same. -.- I still have to come back to the office. I also used to shudder at that thought, but it's not nearly as bad as my mind made it out to be. Well my particular company isn't anyway. I know there are some out there that would make grown men cry.

    Do you mind me asking, do you always work from home? Were you acquired directly online to work for Razer? They don't seem to advertise job openings very.. well... openly.
    I gotta say, that would probably be a more attainable dream job for me, to work for Razer. lol
    I just don't think I have any particular skills at the moment that would give them cause to hire me versus most people 10x more qualified and more conveniently located.

    *EDIT* I also just realized that this wasn't in the thread I thought it was, so I apologize if I got a little more off topic. lol

    I can't wait for the new system, One thing i really want them to do is fix a couple of the bugs the system has right now. I put the code for the Razer Beanie in my cart before to see if they had them in stock, And then i left the cart page, And when i went to buy what i was going to get, The Beanie code didn't work. Tried contacting support, They could not do anything about it.

    Also hope they make the Rewards more updated, Since some of the things in the Rewards program has been there since I started posting on Insider, Back around mid-may 2016.

    Judging by their track record the rewards will remain up for a couple months more.
    The codes should also remain valid until that time.

    I would like to see a thread discussing and suggesting ideas for the new system.

    I think the system is currently a bit easy to work around. Considering a few months ago I was consistently producing 100 new posts per week to get to 1k.

    So pretty much within the span of a month you could make enough posts to get the mouse or headset.

    I'd like to see likes, new threads, posts, and trophy count all contribute to the awards you can get.

    The real question is will they refresh the codes longer then the 31, or would they not refresh the codes for a couple more months and wait for the new system to come out? Most times it does take them at least a couple weeks to update the codes after they expire.

    I don't even think they're gonna immediately refresh at new years, but I may try and get the kraken mobile for free with my kraken 7.1 v2 Im about to order. Hopefully they hold the rewards for a day or two as Im ready to order but I need 24 more posts.

    It says on the rewards tab it will change on the 31 december 23.59 but last year it took like 3 month before they change their reward

    Maybe it'll be different this year since they've been planning to revamp the rewards system entirely anyway. I'm anxious to see how it changes and to see what the new rewards are :)

    Just curious: what were you trying to get?

    The codes stopped working when they said they were going to, though. No Rewards at all for a few months.

    The current codes will most likely stop working on the 1st, and if Razer's ready we'll see the new system shortly after that. If not, then they may extend the current ones until the new system is ready, like they did before.
