I just comein gaming device, (to work in the office task).
I used DeathAdder Essential for a while, Then i have Viper.
The viper's scroll wheel is more strong/friction (which i like).
Question.
- The scroll wheel's mechanic is contact switch , or optical mechanic like left/right click button ?
- Will the friction of scroll wheel wear ?, can i re adjust it?

Yes and sort of No,
If you use the mouse wheel with brute force finger strength, you are grinding the friction of the wheel, which makes the scroll wheel wear off. If you scroll gently you are not grinding the wheel, but just..... spinning it~~.
Similar concept to grinding a cheese.
The cheese can only grind if you put some muscle strength on your arm and moving the cheese back and forward.
But if you just let it slide back and forward without any strength in your hand and arm, most of the cheese will remain as a whole, but small parts do get grinded.
Similar concept to car brakes.
At a high speed if you press the brakes hard for an immediate stop, rubber friction on the brakes get heated and become softened. Eventually wearing off the rubber if you continue to use it.
But when you try slow down by gently pushing the breaks, the rubber friction does get heated but not to the point where it becomes very soft and wearing off, but small parts of the rubber will wear off.
I don't put pressure on the mouse wheel, which is why my 2013 Deathadder still has good friction on the scroll wheel.

For the 1st question - it's a mechanic switch.
If there's friction, there's also wear. But don't be scared, it's REALLY hard to do it. You cannot adjust the scroll wheel tension (but the Basilisk V2, Ultimate can do this) - the only way to change it in mice such as Viper is to replace scroll encoder, but you'll loose your warranty (you need to disassemble the mouse, resolder encoder).
