Wolverine Ultimate, unable to control game/party volume independently

One of the main reasons I got this controller was that it can apparently control game/party chat sperately by holding the volume button then either pressing up, down, left or right on the dpad, however this doesn't seem ot work.

Up & right do the exact same thing and left & down do the same thing too. I can't seem to change only one type of volume regardless of what type of headset I have plugged into the controller. Does the Wolverine Ultimate not support this feature on the Xbox One S?

Atleast with normal controlers I can go into the settings tab and manually adjust the aiduio/game balance there whenever something is pluged into the controller but I don't even seem to be able to do that...

So it seems either I've read something wrong or things aren't explained very well. up/down controls overall volume. Left reduces game volume while increasing party volume, right reduces party volume while increasing game volume.

Thank you for all of your replies to help clarify this issue. (And sorry for the salt but this thread has been up for 13 days completely ignored)
