[Worked-around]For those of you having keyboard issues with Synapse 3

Here is my story:

I am new to Razer keyboards, the only Razer product I used to have is a headset, which is basically a headphone. I am new to Synapse, specifically Synapse 3. It never successfully ran on my computer; it always says "Failed to start". Still dealing with support regarding that matter.

However, that doesn't stop me from utilizing the full potential of my keyboard. I have a Razer Huntsman Elite, it has onboard memory. If you are experiencing the same issue or simply mad at Synapse, and have devices with onboard memory, try this:

1. Get a Linux duo boost if you do not have one or another Linux computer; there are guides everywhere.
2. Download OpenRazer and Polychromatic
3. Plugin the device and test if it works. If it doesn't, something is wrong with your OpenRazer installation.
4. Set up your lighting and macro however you desire.
5. Unplug it and plug the device in your Windows.
6. Works like a charm.

Note: This does not mean that you should abandon Synapse 3, the instructions above do require an adequate amount of computer knowledge to execute. I seriously hope I get Synapse 3 fixed because it is quite a hassle to switch the keyboard between computers just to change a few settings on the keyboard.

By the way: The steps above are absolutely necessary if you wish to use a razer device on a Linux computer!

Did you ever tried to use a Razer device on a Linux?

I think i will try this. My board is not even recognized by Synapse 3, which connects and disconnects it 100 times in a second. Maybe this help. By the way, is it works with stick-boot ? Because i already have dual-boot on PC.

I believe so, as long as you do everything right. Get OpenRazer installed first, and then install Polychromatic. Run Polychromatic-Controller after it is installed. Works really amazing if your device has onboard memory, don't forget to completely stop Synapse 3 or simply uninstall if it does more harm than good.
