I don't know about anybody else, but the login time requirements for zSilver on Razer Arena and Razer Cortex are driving me crazy.

Arena: you can login on the next calendar day, but you don't earn zSilver until 24 hours after your previous login that earned you zSilver. As such, your zSilver earning logins will be later and later each consecutive day. Eventually, you miss out on a full day of logins while still earning your due amount of zSilver, because those wait times will add up.

Cortex: from what I've seen, you can login at 2300 on one day, and 0500 the next, and still earn your zSilver allotment. As long as you login within the next calendar day, you still earn, and don't have to wait until crazy hours to do so, as you eventually will with the Arena logins. If you miss a calendar day, you start over, of course, but you never end up missing out on a full day because of wait times adding up.

I would hope that as they iron out everything that's going on with zSilver earnings from daily logins, that Razer sees that the Cortex earning system is by far, the most user-friendly and rewarding, and that they change the Arena earning system to match.

What do my fellow Razer Insiders think about this?

*Note: I tried to create a poll about this, but something is going on with the server.

This is driving me bonkers, I don't understand why they are doing it like this. It would be trivial to implement the check in such a way that each user can only receive one reward per calendar day... and yet, here I am trying to get my log-in as close to the countdown as possible so that I'm not trying to claim zSilver at 3:00AM next week.

They know.. they're trying to stop you!

@PTSinger and @bmoconno I'm feeling the same way. I don't get to log in exactly 24hrs my last visit, but I do long in nearly every single day. I am quite pleased with how things work on Razer Cortex, but Arena is driving me nuts! (even more so since my first login was at like 11pm) I've already missed out on one "day" because of it.

It would be nice if both of them just operated by a calendar day instead of a 24 hour basis.

Me too, times two. I'm hoping that somebody will see this and go, "Yeah, that kind of sucks. We SHOULD make them both operate on a calendar day."

    Fingers crossed.

Was gonna post a thread about this. Glad there are others that feel the same. Hopefully they will see this and make the timer reset at maybe midnight daily.

@kajira , @PTSinger , @iStinger and @bmoconno I understand the frustration, but just always remember razer is giving you free stuff, just by going on to a software, it's basically free 0.06 USD every day. so stop complaining and enjoy it before they take it out sometime later. :)

I wouldn't call it complaining. Just a suggestion to make the experience most pleasant for the users.
Most of us are fans and spend a ton of money on Razer products and the loyalty program is a way to reward loyal fans. I am sure they don't want to reward us with a system that is actually stressing some of us out.

So your option is to have two different systems for logging in and earning zSilver? That's fine for you, I won't say you shouldn't feel that way.

On the zVault page, it says "Use Razer software such as Razer Cortex and Razer Arena daily and complete missions to earn zSilver." Daily to me does not mean in an interval 24 hours after your last login. I log in every day, and yet miss out on earning zSilver because it hasn't been 24 hours since my last login, so that login doesn't count. It's frustrating.

Also, Razer offers these as an incentive for us to keep using their software. Heck, although I use their peripherals at work and at play every day, I completely forgot about Arena AND Cortex until I saw the original bit of zGold and zSilver in my zVault. The zSilver has me on Arena every day now, checking out what tournaments are on, and making promises to myself to find some more me time and get better at some games, so that I could actually try a tournament someday. But it is an incentive, not a reward.

Oh, and Razer is ALWAYS capitalized.

Same here. It's easy to get busy and forget to check it the exact same time every day. If I go to the Arena page on my Android phone, I can't collect the reward, but if I put it in "Request desktop site" it works fine. So that might help if you can't get to your computer the same time every day.

I'm not complaining - and I've never been anything but thankful for everything Razer has done for me, including inviting me to be a moderator here. However, I do still think that putting both aspects of the program on the same calendar day schedule would make things far simpler than trying to remember what time you need to log in the next day on a 24 hour schedule.

Also, I noticed that the ZSilver you get from the Arena has a expiry date, Does the ZSilver on Cortex have the same? it does not give you the date it goes out on Cortex, But it does on Arena.

Is it the actual zS that has an expiry date, or being able to claim it? I thought that the date shown by the little treasure chest was the date that you had to claim the zS by. Like, you can still login and earn zSilver in the amounts that you should be, but you don't have to actually open the chest on that day, and you get it as long as you open the chest by that date. Otherwise it goes bye-bye.

Having zS expire, while at the same time having such high amounts to earn (160,000 and up) would be ridiculous.

May have read it wrong. I think my first batch is expiring tomorrow if it does expire, So ill just find out then :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

Arena team heard everyone's feed on the forums and made changes to the reset timer a couple of days ago. Let us know if you see any problems!

Just my Cortex login being reset to day 1 instead of day 8 or 9. I've been in touch about it already. Just waiting to see what the result is. I did notice that today, when I logged into Arena, it said my next login was available in 13+ hours instead of 24, so thanks!

May I ask, what changes were made to the reset timer exactly?

Mine is still 24 hours, maybe it'll just take awhile to roll-out to everyone, 13 hours would be great though.:big_grin_:

Mine was 24 hours again, after logging in today. :slightly_sad:

Should have specified that I'm on the Arena team.
To be clear this is on Arena right?
