Hello friends,

Welcome new Razer Viper V2 Pro. 🙂
Userlevel 7
no RGB and charging dock but it's the lightest gaming mouse Razer ever made. I guess some compromises had to be made.

Btw. It has only 1 onboard profile, so it's step backward vs Viper Ultimate.
You cannot store macros 😞
No charge dock, No RGB, will stick with the old model.

And is the charging dock still in micro USB?

From what I can tell, it won't have a charging dock. And if it ever does, the charging port is now USB-C, so it wouldn't be micro-USB.

I guess there was a leak about this earlier? A friend of mine told me a couple days ago he was planning to get this, but I'd never heard of it before, and I see it's only being announced here today.

It's certainly an impressive mouse, being 20% lighter, the Hyperspeed wireless connectivity, and the 80 hour battery life (which is my favorite aspect, personally). I'm curious to see the genuine applications of DPI as high as 30K, which is even HIGHER than the Basilisk V3's 26K and the Viper Ultimate's 20K. What surprises me, though, is seeing that the designers were willing to remove the ambidextrous feature from this version, which, according to the store site, is meant to make this mouse that much lighter. I fully understand removing the Chroma aspect, as this is less designed for streamers and more designed for e-sports pros, but removing the ambidextrous part feels almost unnecessary, when it would allow for left-handed gamers to get in on this product, even if it costs a few extra grams of weight.

Nonetheless, this is another strong addition to the Viper line, and I can see this being worth that $150 price tag, as this version seems to be a solid counterpart to the Viper Ultimate, which is for the same price.
