Might be good for a laptop, if you want a usable and removable device.
Only just moved away from the console to PC and this gets released. Shame I don't have an Xbox though, haha.

Just as a quick note if anyone did not know:

Speaking with Razer Support, the rep informed me that the Turret for Xbox One does include a 3.5mm audio port, as well as a USB pass-thru on the keyboard. This information is not anywhere on the product spec list on the website, nor has it been mentioned in any of the tech showcases/sneak peeks.

I was worried about purchasing this when it released as I currently use a Kraken Pro V2 headset with my XB1 which plugs directly into the controller via 3.5mm. My fear was that my headset would be unusable, as if it was plugged into the controller while using the wireless K&M, the XB1 controller would idle and turn off due to no input as the power saving feature activates and with the controller off, no audio is transmitted either. I definitely did NOT want to spend $250 just to find out I’d also have to spend another $100 for a new wireless/USB headset just to be able to use this product.

The rep tried to get me a “master-guide” for the Turret (whatever that is) but apparently couldn’t find one/wasn’t allowed to give it out?

Anyways, if you’re using a 3.5mm wired headset, don’t worry as it will work with this new peripheral, especially if it’s another Razer product, he assured.

👍
Super curious to try one and see how it feels.

It looks great, but doesn't the mouse pad look at bit small to play on?

The dynamic lighting will be sweet! Especially if it starts up kinda the same way the Xbox does. Green x flowing from the center of the keyboard? The more variations the better!

Will we be seeing this same product developed for ps4 as well? I always wondered when PC-like controls would be made available to consoles. In some types of games, they clearly have an advantage.
Sweet! Now I can use my $200 xbox as a gaming pc instead of my $800 gaming rig! :big_grin_::big_grin_:

(no harm of foul meant ^^ just aa joke, even though I wont be buying it, I still think its a pretty cool idea and sets xbox & razer aside from the others)

I wanted so much to buy the Turret for the PC, but then I found out that it's Synapse 2 only. Since then I lost my hype.

Hope Razer will make Turret v2 or something similar to this for PC, too.

This is supposed windows 10 compatible as well. Does anyone know if it is synapse 3 compatible

It's working on PC too!

A wireless keyboard and mouse that costs more than an Xbox One S?
I think that $250 price is a bit too steep.

(No offense, Razer.)

One thing to keep in mind is this IS NOT just a keyboard. This is a wireless keyboard and mouse, using a single dongle, with a built in track pad. So you could say it's a $140 keyboard, a $80 mouse, and a $30 mouse pad, with the mouse pad built directly into the keyboard.

When you think in these terms it's really not that bad. $140 is right in line with BlackWidow tournament, $80 for a wireless Razer mouse is pretty accurate and cheaper than the Mamba Wireless ($99), and $30 for the pad is a bit much but it's built right into the keyboard, and all this shares a single dongle that you can use on xbox or PC if you want to use it for a HTPC.

So I'd say it's priced right in line with other Razer products, and to compare the price of a keyboard, mouse, and mouse pad to the price of a game console is like comparing apples to oranges. You really can't compare the two as they are different products. I wouldn't compare my house to my car in terms of price as they are two different objects performing different tasks.

Sorry about the long post, but I hope any new viewers of the post read this and understand the price of the product and why it is priced as it is.
Damn, i'd like to use it to play on pc instead 😃
Yes! Time to destroy the people on controller.

At least with the Stealth you don't need a sreen in your luggage.
