The FPS overlay doesn't seem to be there when I play Genshin Impact, yet it used to work with the old Cortex.
However I do know that it works for some other games, including Slay The Spire, so I'm confident that the bug isn't a major issue.
I would also be grateful if you consider adding Genshin Impact to the Booster Prime section.

I wish cortex doesnt slow my pc this time..
Framerate counter is all over the place.
I believe this is a new bug caused by the new cortex as on non-beta version there were never a such issue. It always shows way high FPS (like 189 FPS when it's actually 72 FPS). I'm comparing it with steam's FPS counter and it's clearly wrong. When it gets choppy and drops to like 45 FPS and counter will say 144 FPS. Oterwise nice update, hope it can be fixed easily. I restarted my PC as requested, however the FPS overlay doesn't show up, despite triggering the hotkey to turn the overlay on and off.

Thank you for taking part in our beta program. Here could you please let us know which beta version you installed on your PC?

We have resolved this issue in the latest update of the Razer Cortex V10.0.214.0. To check it, please click the 'SETTINGS' icon at the right top of your Razer Cortex, then, go to the 'ABOUT' page to check your Cortex version.

If the version is not the latest, you can click on 'CHECK FOR UPDATES' to upgrade Cortex to the latest version.

If this issue persists after your upgrade, please feel free to PM us your Cortex logs for us to further look into this issue.

Got this ASAP and it takes a while to launch , arround 2 mins for my 2021 Blade 15. First time setup or really slow on launch??

I updated beta version of cortex today. When I run it, this error happens. I can't access to cortex, and it doesn't happen when I run the first available build of cortex beta.
Also, when I installed normal version of cortex, it works properly.
Is this the cortex beta error?

Thank you for the solutions, but I already did it. Also, I deleted all items of it and copied the latest version package.
Razer cortex beta works properly on the other two laptops, but not on Desktop which I got an error. What should I do?

I have done some more test and noticed three more things that need some work:

  • I am not sure if this is specific to this game only, but Cortex insists that my copy of Control is from the Epic game store.

    I do not even have an account on Epic. I removed this version from Cortex. The only version of Control that is currently installed on my system is from Steam, but:

    According to Cortex, the game is not installed.
    Edit: So reinstalling Control and restarting Cortex did not fix it. As it is, I cannot play Control, that I own on Steam, with Cortex, what a shame...
  • Under the new game booster tab, in FPS there is this new option:

    This make little sense if quite a few games have one fps spike when starting them:

    In this case, the pop up will announce a max fps 389 that was only true for the 1st second of starting the game. It actually played at a modest 50 fps on average, so I think the spikes need to be filtered out or an option to show something more important like average fps or 1% lows should be added.
  • I noticed that games not found on platforms can be added manually, but only if they are installed on my computer. Seeing that Cortex displays my game library, I would like to add all my games to it, not just those that happen to be on my system at the moment. Please add this feature to Cortex as well.
  • Edit: I almost forgot this one. Cortex does not memorise its window dimension and position between reboots. Please change that.

Well, I updated Bios yesterday and the error which I posted was disappeared. I don't know what happened, but now Cortex Beta is working properly.
