What's new?

Besides the revamped UI, we have some new exciting features that will level up your game.

    • Unified Game Library – Quickly launch your favorite games in one place

  • Connect to your favorite platforms to connect to your game library, track all your games and achievements

    • Game Platform Integrations – Connect to your favorite platforms like Steam, GOG, Origin, Ubisoft and Humble Bundle to view all your games and profiles on Cortex PC

when i use the "speed up" optimizer in the new cortex beta my ctrl+shift+p shortcut in vscode stops working.
double checked by returning to windows default and it worked again.

turning off "adjust the keyboard's delayed response time" did not solve issue.

turns out that the FPS TIMER Reset 'hotkey' binding was also ctrl+shift+p.
changing that to a different hot key fixed the issue

I like the new design - it's AMAZING. But (there's always a but) there are a few bugs:
1. For some reason the launcher doesn't want to launch Forza Horizon 5
2. The Chroma connect breaks my peripherals' RGB (it's stuck on one phase - look at the photo I've attached)
there are probably many more that I'll find but I just installed the launcher

Great update! Only exception that the software itself is eating up too much of my CPU when playing a game :slightly_sad:

The new Cortex look is fire, I think it could use a little smoothing out. (Smooth transition from tabs etc.)

Well, you can able it in windows settings.
First, you need to search 'animation' in windows settings. Next turn off and turn on that features.

This update is really cool. I always thought not having some sort of universal library in cortex was a missed opportunity. But it is missing some imo important features that make it less appealing then for example gog galaxy.


  • Some non-platform games can be manually added but their titles are always fixed to the title header in the executable:
    Here, "Anomaly Launcher" is the launcher for STALKER Anomaly, "d1x-rebirth" is Descent 1 rebirth and "Zandronum" is in my particular case the launcher for Doom 64. Please allow us to actually edit the titles.
  • Unlike other platforms, no game stats can be displayed in grid mode (see screenshot above). It would be cool if I could choose to display my game time or achievement completion below each game. Under the game images, there's still plenty of space to display such an information.
  • Apparently I have no option to hide certain games.

    This screenshot shows a demo and a joke game that I own automatically for owning the actual full games on steam. I want to hide them such that they are also not counted in my library, but there is no option to do that.

  • This one is not a game but some sort of movie on steam that every account gets for free:
    It counts towards my games but I do not want a movie to be counted as a game.
  • Some games have no image:

    In my library, games without image are:
    Final Doom, Agony UNRATED, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (on GOG you get two versions, this is the uncensored one), Ultima Underworld I, The Elder Scrolls: Chapter II - Daggerfall, Portal Reloaded.
    All of these titles are either on Steam or GOG and should hence also have an image in Cortex.
  • I like this list on the side of my library.

    But there should be some option to custimise it. For example, I do not need the information of how many games I have on Steam/GOG. I'd rather have my tags listed here.
  • The summary windows is awesome so far but it seems that the statistics from gog galaxy are not carried over. It would be nice to have the option to display how many achievements I earned last week and how much time I spent yesterday on a game and so on.
    EDIT: I just noticed that some stats are only recorded when starting the game from Cortex. If I do, it will actually display my progress. Still it is a bit lame to loose my stats from gog galaxy as they are not carried over.

I hope my points don't come over as nitpicking, I honestly like the new update and want it to become superior than other alternatives. I will still use gog galaxy but I'll keep an eye on the development of Cortex ^.~

The new Cortex Beta has an Chroma Connect error with razer synapse. After Game Booster restoring memory it doesnt get back to the synapse studio chroma theme effect. Lights on whole set of Razer devices stay green or white - doesnt change to devices lightings I've set in Synapse.

Please FIX THIS 🙂

I wish there was an option to disable the little HUD razer cortex shows when boosting. It interferes when using steam link.

Well, sometimes I think about same opinion you posted.
I need to boost my PC with cortex when I render some tasks, but when the HUD cames out, the render speed goes quite low.
Razer gives me the best performance!

After i give admin rights the cortex.exe and all the other cortex service's i found in the service-control-panel of win11 the FPS Panel runs fine at Valorant, but nothingto see in pubg!

Did this occur before your reinstallation or after your reinstallation? If it occurred after your reinstallation, could you please share us with your Cortex logs for us to further investigate this issue?

3. I installed the Beta again and now the autostart of cortex and synaps is cracked. reinstall dont helps
so i think i need to do a clean reinstall ;-(

Could I confirm whether the autostart of the Razer Cortex cracking issue was fixed after your clean reinstallation? If not, could you please provide us with our Razer Cortex logs for us to further investigate this issue?

mysterious is that sub services of cortex will be started becaus Central says it runs but i cant open it.
when i close and open cortex again via the taskbar menu of Central it starts
synaps autostart i totaly bricked! but i can start it also via Central taskbar

Do you mean when you close and open Razer Cortex via the taskbar menu of Razer Central, it only starts Synapse autostart, but bricked, and Razer Cortex still does not start, am I right?

I have done some more test and noticed three more things that need some work:

  • I am not sure if this is specific to this game only, but Cortex insists that my copy of Control is from the Epic game store.

    I do not even have an account on Epic. I removed this version from Cortex. The only version of Control that is currently installed on my system is from Steam, but:

    According to Cortex, the game is not installed.
    Edit: So reinstalling Control and restarting Cortex did not fix it. As it is, I cannot play Control, that I own on Steam, with Cortex, what a shame...
  • Under the new game booster tab, in FPS there is this new option:

    This make little sense if quite a few games have one fps spike when starting them:

    In this case, the pop up will announce a max fps 389 that was only true for the 1st second of starting the game. It actually played at a modest 50 fps on average, so I think the spikes need to be filtered out or an option to show something more important like average fps or 1% lows should be added.
  • I noticed that games not found on platforms can be added manually, but only if they are installed on my computer. Seeing that Cortex displays my game library, I would like to add all my games to it, not just those that happen to be on my system at the moment. Please add this feature to Cortex as well.
  • Edit: I almost forgot this one. Cortex does not memorise its window dimension and position between reboots. Please change that.
