It sounds like you're describing the charging behavior of a PlayStation controller. Generally, when the controller is first connected to the charger, the light bar on the controller will pulse orange. Once it's charged to a certain level, the light bar will turn white, indicating that it's in the "trickle charge" phase where it's just maintaining the current charge level. It's normal for the light bar to switch back and forth between orange and white during the charging process.

As for the safety feature you mentioned, PlayStation controllers do have built-in overcharge protection, so it's generally safe to leave them on the charger for extended periods of time. That being said, it's still a good idea to unplug the controller once it's fully charged to extend the lifespan of the battery.

In short, the behavior you're describing is normal and shouldn't damage your controller. If you're still concerned, you can always refer to the user manual or contact the manufacturer for more information.

if you are still concerned about the charging behavior, it may be best to consult the user manual for your specific controller model. The manual should provide detailed instructions on how to charge the device properly and whether there are any specific charging behaviors to be aware of.

In general, it's a good idea to avoid leaving your controller charging for extended periods of time, as this can reduce the overall lifespan of the battery. It's also a good idea to periodically check the charging behavior of the device to ensure that it is functioning properly.

I I have checked the manual it says nothing except it has the  overcharging protection  which is why I bought it so I can leave it on over night and quick charge in three hours   Other then that it says orange for charging white for fully charged  not much info same with website  so just thought I would ask
