I bought Razer Blade 15 and the screen is black. The adapter got green light, and the laptop got green light. I managed to connect it to external display (oled TV) to check if it works and it did. I tried to uninstall old display drivers and install new ones, and it did not fix my issue. I took proper care of laptop, didn't use it for gaming, laptop never overheated, and I mainly used it for watching lectures online. It's been less then 2 years. I have been big Razer fan since early days and like this laptop, but i feel a bit disappointed spending so much money on it and now it doesn't work.

Please could someone help and give me advice on what should I do? Willing to provide any additional information.

Thank you in advance,

Dom

Hey did you manage to get some update regarding this? Turned out I have to send mine for a repair and my warranty is off. Will see how that goes.

I too have a black screen of death.  Shame to spend so much money for a door stop.

I would try to re-install your laptop drivers under the razer support section. Try to maybe install the new NVDIA app. The display port might have been disconnected too so you could open the back of the laptop to plug it in.

No idea if that will work but just thought to give some ideas.

I have had this issue and random crashing since the first month I bought it but because I didnt complain within the first two weeks they wont give me a refund or a new laptop. I’ve now angrily reviewed the store on google and finally got a response - but they say it’s escalating to the right person. How can it take an escalation for one laptop and the basic courtesy of a refund?

I can’t believe it... I just want my money back - I’ve been struggling to complete a Masters in Architecture with this piece of junk laptop. I also flew to Singapore especially to buy it and I bet they will make me fly back for a fix/refund if they ever do give me more than a ‘try resetting it’ blah blah blah response. Guess who will be paying for that flight and hotel? Razer have the worst customer service I’ve ever experience and my laptop (less than 9 months old) is basically an expensive nightlight (they keyboard still lights up).

Dont buy from these people!

Contact Razer support, give them all the information, including serial number and receipt, depending what your problem is you might be eligible for repair or replacement unit. If you have razer warranty they should be cover repair free of charge.

After exchanging over 50 emails, I sent my laptop to repair centre, they cover half of cost for delivery and half I had to pay because I had no warranty. It was a long process but they sent me newer model if laptop as replacement. I can say I was happy in the end. Will see how long does this one last and based on that I will make decision if it's worth an upgrade in future or not.

Appreciate your response and gives me some hope!

They have started to respond but waiting for confirmation from whoever it has been ‘escalated’ to. I dont think replacing ONE laptop should require escalation but anyway, I’m still just waiting. I’m unable to work without an external monitor so my laptop isnt a laptop - and I work on the road a lot. It’s infuriating. I dont want a replacement, I want my money back so I hope they will honor that without a trip or sending back to Singapore because that would once again put me out of my way, when they should be going out of their way to please their customers.

Anyway, will keep you updated on how this resolves.

Yeah please do, I was in the similar shoes as you but my laptop died during exam haha. I bought it for drawing and using AutoCAD. Luckily once it died I could go to library, but for you I get it if you work on the road and require mobility.

Haha that sounds terrible but very similar to me. I am also in finals week this week and the screen totally went when using photoshop. And now at work (I’m a project manager) I sometimes need to pull up CDs on my phone ha. It’s useless...
