OK just a quick update, I did receive an email from Razer support yesterday. Unfortunaley the agent who logged the initial ticket made some error and this added some delay. Somehow he reported that I was using the keboard on my Macbook and not my windows 10 PC and they 2nd level came back stating there was not firmware update for Mac's. This was of course correct, so I corrected the information and provided all my troubleshooting steps in email and they have replied back to me today.
They stated they agree that this does look like a firmware issue and they are working with the developers to look into it. Additionally they have provided me a firmware to try and see if it resolves my issue. I won't share that here becasue if it's a beta piece of code and cases more issues, publicly posting would be irresponsible of me. if it does work I will come back and state that and suggest anyone having the problem contact support and request it from them. this way it stays controlled and not cause more issues potentially. Fingers crossed this works, I am really liking this keyboard.

Ok that was pointless, all their application did was tell me I already had the latest firmware. Extremely disappointed with the support so far!!

Ah, that is very unfortunate! Thanks for keeping us posted
So I received another email from them today asking me to download and try another software. Unfortunalely when I click the link they sent me, it was the instructions to download and use the software they instructed me to download the use 2 days ago.

This has to be the most pointless set of troubleshooting and resolution steps I have ever been asked to follow. What makes it worse is both emails came from the same person on the support team.

I don't think anyone at Razer is gonna do anything about this any time soon unless there is mass complaints. They had me run through a ton of troubleshooting steps but I told them to escalate it over an email. If they don't or won't sort this out sometime soon, im gonna be on my way to another keyboard, and will be switching out the rest of my peripherals too.
Same issue here, I reinstalled my windows three times until I found whats wrong. I sent a ticket to them too. From what I can see this issue is around for a long time now, look: /huntsman-mini-broke-my-windows.65606/
First post nov 11, Im just shocked there is no solution yet.
oh my... https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/mouse-dysfunctional-unresponsive-icons-windows-and-task-bar.14375/
Same issue, thread from 2012!!! I think until some big youtuber make a video about this, we are not getting a fix 🙂
well I'm not big, but im on Youtube, at least my gaming channel isn't big, but i'm posting a vid now about this lackluster support that we pay good money for. Glad my Anne Pro 2 is on it's way. Probably my first and last Razer product
Yeah I think Im gonna get anne too, post a link to your vid when its up Please 🙂
It's unbelieveable that Razer is just flat out ignoring this!..
Hello. I have this same issue out of the box. Do you guys think I should contact them or just straight up ask for a refund. Do you think they're actually doing something on this fix or new firmware cause I dont wanna get rid of it knowing that it might get fixed anytime soon. Thank you...
I just spoke to razer support on the phone and they were very unhelpful. Their advice was that I needed to contact AMD and make it their problem... So I need to contact AMD and tell them that they need to fix their architecture so that defective razer firmware will work on the system.

Returning the keyboard and mouse.

Wow... very "professional" of them
Just to clarify this isnt an amd exclusive issue. I purchased this kb 4 a new zen3 build but after experiencing the issue and clean installing twice i finally realized it was the kb causing it. I switched the huntsman mini 2 my intel build and sum uf the same issues aruse. If peuple are saying it was wurking fine be4 the newest firmware then it is ubviusly un their end.

Guess which key has decided tu stup wurking 4 me until i switch usb purts lul
Oh mate... that sucks. At first I was like did they have a stroke while writing this?

That's interesting that it happened on intel for you as well. Given your issue with the O key you may have received a genuinely faulty copy of the board.

Mine destroy's windows explorer on my AMD machine but works flawlessly on my intel machine. It's a real shame because I have been waiting for a decent 60% keyboard and don't have time time or patience to do a custom. Oh well back to waiting.
If i end up doing this replacement that razer is giving me, how do I stop the firmware from updating if it isn't already on this crappy firmware that caused all these problems people are talking about ?
Thank you guys for sharing your experience and keeping everyone here posted! THIS kind of problem for the whole system, just because of a keyboard is just crazy, hopefully our joint effort gets Razer's attention and there will be a fix

Firmware is updated manually. If you don't do it on purpose AND firmware version of the KB you receive is free of this huge issue - you're safe

Hi, official razer support answered in another thread:
/huntsman-mini-broke-my-windows.65606/page-3
Please send him this logs hes asking for, maybe this will speed up the process of solving this issue.

Sent, thank you!

Hey everyone! Thanks for sharing your keyboard's ongoing concern here. Our Support Team is currently investigating the issue and will ensure to post an official fix once it is available. For now, please send me your Razer Synapse 3.0 logs by following the steps on this link. Save the file via Google Drive or to any online drive account, then paste in your PM.

Done, thanks!
Just another update from my end with support, after gather several different logs from my machine and taking a video of what happens when I have a differennt keyboard to my machines as well as what happens when I connect the Razer to it, they have come back with the follwing statement;

"Thank you for taking time in providing all of the necessary details, Looks like it could be I/O controller issues with Huntsman mini and AMD devices. if you may can I forward this our Developers Team for further investigation. we send you feedback once we get the solution."

Can some anyone from Razer that is monitoring this forum please explain to me why we can't role the firmware back to the previous release, at least for the users that are facing this issue. I had no issues with the keyboard until this update and would be happy to go back to the previous firmware if it will resolve the issues I face.

Sean

PS - Just before I could click on Post reply, my Anne Pro 2 just showed up

Hi heavenradioOrchid229! Thanks for sharing. Razer has always been updating device firmware, not rollback. Once there' an official fix, I'll post it in this thread, or you can visit the Razer Huntsman Mini's support site by clicking this link.
This is ridiculous. The previous firmware worked. I have a $200 keyboard that I can’t use because the new firmware broke it. So you can provide the previous firmware, you are just choosing not to and in doing so are leaving your customers with defective products while we wait for razer to fix this.

might be time to go to the ACCC and see what they think.
yeah razer support just told me that it is something installed on my system, even though all i have is games and manufacturer software installed on my computer. They said they couldn't replicate any of my issues and then gave me the same basic troubleshooting steps that are no better than turn it off and turn it on again

Nope. It's the opposite. If Razer has an official fix for a particular device, I post it immediately. By the way, were you able to contact our Support Team? If you haven't, please send us your Razer Synapse 3.0 logs by following the steps I've posted above so our team can analyze the software's behavior on your computer while using the Razer Huntsman Mini. Thanks for your cooperation.
Well, all I can say is that they have not come back to me stating that this is something I have installed on my PC. they have taken alot of files and logs from me and have stated that they are askign the devs to look into addressing this. But have not really heard back from them since, except for the odd automated message saying that they havent' heard from me in a few days and that if I don't reply they will close my ticket. Annoying and also easy to address, but it is what it is. I have since moved on to the Anne Pro 2 Keyboard and am not sure I will be going back to the Razer. Even though the Red linears on the razer feel and sound better. This keyboard just works, and their Tap feature for arrow keys have one me over.
