Kraken Tournament Edition - THX Spatial Audio not working.

I've already chatted to a representative on support, and after everything he/she has offered to help with, nothing worked.
I've tried every solution on the internet including his support, and he eventually said I should get a replacement since it was from Amazon... It arrived today and to no avail, THX is still not working.

I've done everything in the book and looking for any advice, I've already tried restarting, reinstalling, plugging into another USB, resetting my PC, it just isn't working.

It worked before and to be honest I really don't want to return them... Not after I experienced the difference between normal stereo & THX.


I have Chrome and other Apps open that can use THX yet it's not displaying.

Also, none of the other equaliser options, voice clarity, sound normalisation works
It works on other PCs, namely my laptop

Fixed!.
1.uninstall device.(device manager)
2.uninstall synapse
3.delete any razer folder.
4.restart computer.
5.install synapse.
6.plug device.

It is very important,to plug device when synapse is installed.

I am having this problem with the Blackshark V2. The Mixer tab lists no programs and no modes, all the boxes are empty. If I tick on the Spatial Audio switch to "on", nothing happens and it will switch off as soon as I navigate to another tab.

If I manage to get a fresh profile somehow (through logging in as a guest or pressing quick start before profiles are synced) the Mixer tab will list programs and work for a minute but then fail shortly afterwards. It's like the THX driver stops accepting all Synapse input and won't allow any of the Mixer tab contents to load.

Fixed!.

Lmao this is still happening lol, I own the Razer Nari Ultimate and I've been having this problem for over a year. Contacted Razer several times, going through all sort of steps just to end up with hearing it's a third party problem and the issue isn't on their side. Such bs tbh. Equalizer just stops working completely randomly and sometimes when I start an app (Usually with a game) my sound quality changes.

Feels like my sound has a suppressor on it, suppressing what it's supposed to sound like, everything's so quiet

Just for those who haven't checked... I was having issues with my THX spatial audio not working and apparently overnight the chat/game volume dial got turned all the way down. If you are not paying attention and this dial is all the way down YOU WILL NOT GET ANY SOUND.... I was only able to get sound when my sound settings were set to the chat version of the headset, not the game, and especially not the THX audio. great way to waste like 3 hours uninstalling and reinstalling drivers...

Oh my god thank you. That switch sucks anyway.

Hello everyone, I'm having the same issue here. I have the Razer Kraken TE and THX Spatial - Synapse doesn't work. My headphones are just working with Razer Audio Control - Game. This issue occured since I have updated Windows to its latest version, but I can read that I'm not the only one having this problem. Do we just have to wait for drivers to be upgraded? My Kraken TE works on my Blade Pro but not my desktop and I dont see a difference

THX Spatial - Synapse not working, no sound. The drivers are installed for the first time on this laptop. Game and chat drivers works

True, but still i think u should make a clean uninstall with bcuninstaller. After that i think ur problem will be solve

i tried removing steam with the uninstaller you suggested.. no change issue still remains.

So the cause for you isn't steam it's apex legends installed via steam?

True, but still i think u should make a clean uninstall with bcuninstaller. After that i think ur problem will be solve

Apex legends came to steam like 10 days ago. This issue comes back as soon as install apex through steam. Now im playin apex legends via origin and its all okey. I used to have csgo i didnt have any problem tho

So the cause for you isn't steam it's apex legends installed via steam?

I just did a normal uninstall. I will do a more througher one tomorrow.
I use to have apex installed, don't remember if it was via steam. Will let you know how the deeper test goes.

Apex legends came to steam like 10 days ago. This issue comes back as soon as install apex through steam. Now im playin apex legends via origin and its all okey. I used to have csgo i didnt have any problem tho

Yep true, i had steam on my other pc as well but only csgo was installed. I dont know why this is broken like this.. I guess problem is apex legends on steam version if u have it

Razer should pay us.. my problem was not windows thats for sure. I guess few steam games is makin problem

Razer support sent me a couple of new steps to try, will let you know the outcome

seems like, after played apex legends once the all game profiles gone again. Then only apex showed up. And it was gone again once. Im on windows 20H2 right now. Realtek might be a problem im not sure or steam i dont know. I didnt install anything else. Now its working but idk after reboot i guess its gonna stop again
