For those of you having problems with connecting to the dongle, go to https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4166 and update both dongle and heaset firmware by folowing the directions and instructions on the updater application.

My headset is not able to connect to the dongle either. Firmware is up to date as suggested.

Please advise what else I can try?

hi guys, maybe stupid question but did you try to click the switch mode button on headset twice quickly? 
when my headset came it was default in bluetooth mode and didn’t see/connect to the dongle, when I press this button twice quickly, mode changed and it connected itself to the dongle stright away. 

What did you do exactly? When I click on the link i get to the headset selection page. And then? I updated the firmware of both like in the article of another comment. Do you mean the same thing or something different? 

I think this is a general problem with the usb hyperspeed dongle. I face the same issue with my mouse and keyboard too. The dongle connects and disconnects immediately. Firmware is up to date.

I have the same issue with my Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed. on Bluetooth it connects ok but when trying to connect it using the dongle, it says it’s paired using the pairing utility but no sound and Synapse 4 gets stuck on “Detecting Device”. I also updated the firmware to the latest version.

Just bought it. I have that exact screen it just says “Detecting Device...” forever. The only difference is that I still have sound. Its also loading in the main tab. Everything is updated too. The dongle and Blackshark v2 Hyperspeed are working fine, its just not showing up in synapse 4(haven't checked in synapse 3).

It seems out headphone don't work with Synapse 4. I installed Synapse 3 and it's working.

Also, if the sound is weird and muffled in games, you need to disable sound enhancements from windows settings.

blackshark v2 Hyperspeed is not detected in SYNAPSE 4, everything works in SYNAPSE 3, although compatibility is indicated. I contacted technical support about this, they said they would not help. There were other local problems, there was a "headset pairing" program in support, I had to configure it several times to make everything work fine (for this, the latest firmware is needed). The drivers also conflict with the sound drivers of other devices, in my case with Steelseries, everything started to work better without them. I recommend removing all old drivers related to audio devices that you do not use

After connecting using the connection pairing utility How to use the Razer Headset Pairing Utility I got the same problem where it said it connected but i couldnt get any sound. I fixed it by going to my computers sound settings (in my case clicking on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the taskbar), changing my output device to something not the blackshark, and then back to the blackshark and now i have sound.

Does anyone have a solution? I'm upset about such a problem with such an expensive headset.

Thanks a lot bro, I did this and it worked, I had been trying to fix this problem for several hours, I connected the dongle and clicked the pairing button twice and it connected right away.
