Razer Blade 16 2025 THX Spatial Option not available in Synapse

I have the same Audio Issues as mentioned in this locked thread:

In short: THX Spatial option doesn't show up in Synapse even after factory reset via official image and multiple Synapse reinstalls.

Has anyone had the same issues or even found a fix for it? Or do we know the fix they were talking about in the old thread ever got released?

I have the same issue and as i looked everywhere we still don’t have a real fix.

Hi everyone,

I want to share a detailed update regarding the audio issues on the 2025 Razer Blade models, because what I’m experiencing is identical to what many users have already reported.

🔊

1. Main Issue: Internal Speaker Audio Instability

This is the core problem and it happens regardless of Windows version, drivers, Synapse, or settings:

  • Voices fluctuate in volume (pumping effect)
  • Some dialogue lines become extremely quiet or disappear
  • Certain mid frequencies randomly dip
  • Some videos or movies lose clarity
  • In eFootball, the commentator becomes almost inaudible unless the volume is raised to unrealistic levels
  • Volume instability is especially noticeable below 30

This is not a small glitch — it happens every day and affects many types of content.

Headphones work perfectly, so the issue is clearly related to the internal speakers / DSP / tuning / firmware chain, not the hardware output jack.

2. THX & Synapse Behavior (SEPARATE from the main issue)

This part is not the main problem, but it shows that the audio software stack is unstable:

  • After a THX update, the Synapse audio tab stops working
  • Rolling back the driver makes it work again
  • THX components only install correctly when Windows is in English
  • In TR/FR languages, THX fails to install, even on a clean system

Again, this is separate, but it clearly shows that something is wrong with the current THX/driver integration on the 2025 models.

3. Realtek Audio Console

The Realtek console opens but has zero customization options.

No EQ, no tuning, no enhancements.

Completely locked.

This didn’t happen on earlier models.

🧪

4. Tested Under All Conditions

I tested the device with:

  • Factory Razer image
  • Clean Windows install (multiple languages)
  • Safe Mode
  • Synapse disabled
  • Different driver versions
  • THX rollback
  • Different games and media types

The main issue (internal speaker instability) always remains.

5. This Is Not a Single Device Issue

Multiple Blade 16/18 (2025) users have reported the exact same symptoms.

This strongly points to:

🔸 Speaker tuning issue

🔸 DSP/firmware bug

🔸 THX integration issue

🔸 Or a hardware batch problem

My unit is currently with Razer Support for repair, and I hope this information helps engineering teams reproduce and fix the root cause.

🔄 Update after RMA – Important clarification about the real root cause

I want to provide an important update after receiving my device back from RMA, as this may significantly clarify the real nature of the problem discussed in this thread.

Razer replaced both the motherboard and the left speaker on my unit.

✅ Result after RMA (non-audio issues):

  • GPU-only mode freezes, random restarts, and stability issues are now fully resolved
  • Display behavior feels stable again
This strongly suggests those issues were hardware-related, and the motherboard replacement was effective.

🔊 Audio behavior after RMA (key point)

Regarding the speaker audio issue described above, the behavior clearly shows that:

The core audio problem was NOT fixed by hardware replacement alone.

Immediately after RMA (before Windows Updates), the internal speaker behavior was almost identical to before:

  • Dialogue still felt suppressed in some content
  • Certain videos still exhibited volume imbalance

The major improvement only occurred after installing the latest Windows Updates, specifically:

  • Newer Realtek audio drivers
  • Updated THX components

This strongly indicates that the speaker instability is software / DSP / enhancement-chain related, not caused by faulty speakers or motherboard hardware.

⚠️ Remaining reproducible software issue (important)

Even now, one clear and consistent issue remains:

When Windows Audio Enhancements (THX) are enabled, audio quality is excellent, but:

  • Starting new playback can result in noticeable loss of audio power/dynamics
  • Toggling Audio Enhancements OFF → ON instantly restores full output strength

This is 100% reproducible and only happens when enhancements are enabled.

With enhancements OFF, volume remains stable across all playback.

👉 This behavior suggests a software gain / DSP initialization bug, not hardware.

I can easily provide a video demonstration if needed, as the issue is very easy to reproduce.

✅ Conclusion after full RMA cycle and testing

  • Hardware replacement successfully fixed stability issues
  • Speaker replacement slightly improved balance, but was not the main fix
  • Audio improvements came primarily from driver / THX updates
  • Remaining inconsistencies are clearly software-based and fixable

I’m sharing this to help narrow down the true root cause and avoid unnecessary hardware replacements for other users.
