razer blade black screen | Razer Insider

Hi,

I just bought a new razer blade 17 pro 2020. It worked all fine. Then i decided to put in my old nvme drive to boot my old windows 10. It didnt work at first but then i went into bios and turned on cms support. I put bootmode on legacy, video and storage on legacy too, graphics on dedicated only and it worked yeeey. So i was super happy and proud. I could even install razer synapse and change the color of my keyboard. I considered everything done but forgot to install nvidia drivers. I went into bios turned on nvidia optimus and fastboot. From that point on it only shows a black screen :slightly_sad: things i have tried so far:

-Pressing the powerbutton 3times for 10 sec. to make it boot in save mode, no success

-press the powerbutton 15 sec till the indicator light flashes white. It turns off immediately

-i put in the original nvme and tryed booting in save mode, but no success

-i tryed using a recovery stick i made before but still only black screen

-i tryed acronis recovery stick but only black screen

-tryed a second monitor, but still blank

So how can i make it that my bios is reset to its original state so it works with the original nvme and shows a picture?

Im grateful for any help ♥️

I'm sad to hear about what happened to your Razer Blade Pro 17. While using the original SSD, did you try connecting the laptop to an external monitor and check if you get a display? Please perform the steps from this article and see how it goes.

Yes i have tryed a different Monitor i forgot to mention that. Its also blank. I followed the instructions in your link with holding the powerbutton down and unpluging the power chord. The indicator light flashes white but after that the laptop turns off. When i turn it back on nothing changed .

I see. Don't lose hope yet. Allow me to create an investigation by submitting a case to our Support Team. Fill in the following and send it to me via PM so I can immediately forward it to the team as the laptop could potentially need to undergo hardware diagnosing and repair:
