When opening a session Razer Cortex starts as mentionned in Windows Registry : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Key : RazerCortex : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Razer Cortex\RazerCortex.exe" -autorun
And when opening the session / starting : the program asks admin rights
It’s an issue for users (like children) that the don’t have admin rights :-).

Hello, im the admin on my Pc, i just ve one more account for my wife. But i still ve to give permissions to Razer Cortex, everytime i start the pc. Any idea, why thats the case?

I have the same problem. My son does not have admin user on his computer, and windows constantly asks him for admin permission at startup. Tried a lot of workarounds, none worked so far (like runas.exe, task set up via task scheduler etc.) would be nice if this was solved.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Please be informed that the main features of Razer Cortex require administrative rights to effectively optimize system resources and enhance gaming performance. Without these necessary privileges, Razer Cortex may not be able to fully deliver its intended benefits to users.

We regret any frustration or disappointment this may have caused. Our team is actively working on finding potential solutions or alternative approaches to address this limitation.

Open the Start menu. Enter "Add or remove programs", and click the search result. Type "Cortex" in the search box under "Apps & features", . Click "Razer Cortex", then select "Uninstall". ... Select "Uninstall". Click "Yes" when you are prompted by the User Account Control.

To ensure that all features of Razer Cortex are fully functional and can optimize your gaming experience, it is important to launch the program with administrative permission. This can be done by logging in to an admin account or granting admin permission to the program.

Without admin permission, most features of Razer Cortex may not be available or may not function properly. Therefore, it is highly recommended to launch the program with admin permission in order to fully utilize its features and improve your gaming experience.
