Razer Support's Bad Rep is Deserved. Don't Believe the Promotional Hype. | Razer Insider

We all know Razer is often thought to be one of if not the worst for customer support among the computer/peripheral makers out there. I’ve had my share of bad experiences with them over the last few months. This post is specifically regarding their promotional items and refusal to provide what they say they will.

I’ve owned 4 or 5 Razer laptops and purchased my last--a Blade 16 w/4090--from Razer’s authorized Amazon store. This one was delivered September 23rd, during one of their $200 gift card free gift promotions.

Mine didn’t come with a gift card so I created a support case on September 25th (Case #230925-002864), to inquire about what information I needed to provide to claim the promotional gift. I attached my invoice and a screenshot of the promotion.

I never received a reply.

After waiting for over a month, I created another support case on October 29th (Case #231029-001543) asking for someone to follow up regarding my first case.

I still received no reply.

I waited another 1.5 weeks and created ANOTHER support case on November 7th (Case #231107-003420) telling them that I still haven’t heard back from anyone.

No reply.

On the same day I created a separate support case with a different division of the company (first 3 were filed with marketing/sponsorships. this one was filed with sales (Case #231107-003433)).

No reply. #thatrazercustomerservice

Next week will make 2 months that I’ve waited. I tried to be patient. I actually said “screw it, who cares” a few times but then I keep randomly seeing ads where Razer is giving away hundreds of dollars in free gifts, and it just ticks me off and draws me back in.

This is my caveat emptor to potential customers. Don’t let their promotions sway you. It’s straight up false advertisement, at least in my case(s). Hopefully this posts costs them at least $200.
