Hello,
I have recently bought the Razer Thresher 7.1 PS4/PC headset. The one with the USB dongle (not the Ultimate edition).
I connected the headset to PS4 via USB cable only due to low battery. I expected Thresher to be detected by PS4 but it did not (Settings-->Devices-->Audio Output-->None).
After that, I connected the USB dongle to the other port (along with the optical cable) having Thresher still connected to PS4 via USB cable. I restarted Thresher ( turned OFF/ON button ) and seemed that USB dongle and headset were connected as their LEDs turned blue without blinking. But again Thresher device was not shown in Audio Devices of PS4 and audio came out only from TV.
I also tried all the above to PC (without the optical cable of course) with the same result.
Bottom line is that whenever headset is connected to console or PC via USB cable , it's only on charging state.
Is the micro-USB to USB cable used only for charging or carrying audio data as well?
