I've bought my son a Ripsaw HD, After playing about with a black / stalled obs screen for a couple of days (Worth of attempts) - On his Gaming PC I tested the card on my daughters laptop, minus a few stutter/glitches it worked perfectly, no problems, fresh from install.
After reviewing the system requirements.. Which state:
System Requirements
- Windows 8 64-bit or higher with a free USB 3.0 port
- Intel Core i3-6100 (or higher) for Desktop
- Intel Core i7-4810MQ (or higher) for Laptop
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (or higher) for Desktop
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M (or higher) for Laptop
- 4 GB minimum (8 GB recommended)
CPUZ Advises:
CPU: AMD FX-4170
Socket AM3+ (942)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
Graphic settings have been pointed to the GPU in settings / graphic performance settings. Power saving (Also tested Performance option)
And yes, Running windows 10 64 bit / USB3 ASmedia - But fails to display the capture. NOTE: In OBS (On laptop, when i add a capture, select ripsaw, it shows right away, once applied it's added to the scene no problems.
ON Gaming PC, when I add a capture, it DOES NOT show the image - it stays grey - once applied / and or custom display set - obs shows black - The red frame which should display / resize is just a single red box in the top left corner - making me think it's frozen / stalled while loading?)
And yes, tried deactivate / Activate etc - Believe me, I've tried everything logically suggested.
I may as well advise: Plenty of memory, plenty of disc space etc.. Computer runs like a dream..
Can someone please confirm that the product requires that you MUST have an intel I3 / I5 / I7 style processor?
Is this why OBS shows his chosen desktop screen, webcam etc but has a brain fart when he tries to view his capture card?
It sees the card / drop down, everything installed etc, I just need to understand if I need to upgrade his Board/CPU (bundle) to obviously give him more power but to make it possible for this device to work.
Yes I bought it off ebay - Pre owned but it's in perfect condition + after concerns it was faulty, after testing it on my daughters windows 10 Intel laptop, it worked perfectly.
Am i answering my own question or is there something I can alter to make it work at present? Or MUST it be I3 and above?
Much appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
