Viper V2 Pro not connecting to HyperPolling dongle after 6th Nov update | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

I opened the Razer Synapse app today to change my polling rate and I just noticed there was a firmware update for my mouse and HyperPolling dongle. I updated both but now my mouse wont connect to the dongle. I’ve rebooted my PC, restarted and killed all the processes, but nothing is making it work. I’ve even un paired the dongle and reconnected it. My mouse is detecting the dongle in the pairing utility but it wont connect when I unplug it from a wired connection. Is there a firmware downgrade I can do to make it work wirelessly again?

Edit: The HyperPolling dongle is now no longer appearing in Razer Synapse and Device manager anymore. Its like its a non detected device now

Hello StickyStickx,

I’m here to help. Please try to perform the workaround below.

  1. Under the Device Manager, go to mice and other appointing devices. You should see both the mouse and the Razer HyperPolling wireless dongle.
  2. Right-click on them and click Uninstall Device. Please make sure that "delete the driver software for this device has been checked."
  3. Restart your computer to completely uninstall the drivers.
  4. The drivers are automatically installed on your computer after a restart.
  5. Perform a clean reinstallation of Synapse following the steps here. Make sure to locate and remove all remnants of Razer Synapse from the PC.

Feel free to PM me your device serial number if you need further assistance. All the best!
