Your Opinion On Updating Nvidia Graphics Drivers

Hi all,

I recently updated my Nvidia Graphics Drivers to play Doom Eternal (it wouldn't let me play without updating them). I was later told that it's normally better to stick with the factory drivers as updates can really harm the machine, so now I am wondering if the Nvidia driver I installed will run well on my laptop.

I have a Razer Blade 15'' (2019) Advanced - RZ09-0301 - with RTX 2070 Max Q
I have updated the Nvidia Drivers to 471.11-notebook-win10-64bit-international-dch

As a side question, do you also know what version of the NVIDIA drivers was pre-installed, so I can revert back to it if required? Was it 419.71 (Nvidia_graphic_25.21.14.1971_whql)?

The NVIDIA 471.11 is indeed the latest graphics driver version for RTX 2070. However, the laptop should suffice the system requirements of the game too. Have you played Doom Eternal in your Razer Blade 15 before the update, or it's an initial attempt?
