Razer Synapse 4

I’m here simply to advocate for Linux support. I have 3 Razer devices, headphones, keyboard and mouse and they struggle to work with Linux. Us Linux users should not have to settle for third part software like OpenRazer. While I respect their work it should not be on them to have to make these tools. We paid money for our devices, we expect support on Linux. 

After recently synapse 4 update on Nov 14, the left/right sound direction is reversed when thx spatial audio is enabled on my blackshark v2. If I switch to thx stereo, the left/right sound direction is correct. I have tried to uninstall synapse 4 and restart pc and reinstall synapse 4, but the the left/right sound direction reversed issue is still there. What should I do to fix this? Is anybody has the same issue?

Hello,There seems to be an issue with Synapse 4.After rebooting the PC, the Synapse tray icon shows that no devices are connected.However, once I manually launch Synapse, the devices appear in the tray and everything syncs properly.I've already tried a clean installation.Even after formatting the PC, the same issue persists.What could be causing this to suddenly happen? synapse4 ver 4.0.86.2508050339

Hi.I’m inviting all to conversation about never ending list of bugs in Synapse 4.Let’s open beers or more voltage alcohole like Razer DEV team and chat about issues with this app if we can call it an app.So last time I spent more time on Synapse 4 fighting with lights and synchronization with MSI app and gear than on playing or doing something more productive. What I learned is that application working like trowing a dice, each clean installation generate different problem :) fixing one but giving you new one.From what I notice there a 4 common issues:   Chroma app stopped turning on automatically with the system after login to windows account (to make lights on you need to turn on manually the Chroma app) Sometimes there is an issue where you can’t add games to Synapse 4 I notice also when you have set profile with lights for some specific game keyboard (huntsman elite in my case) switch lights from profile to profile very slow, more than 20 seconds. The latest Synapse update (I had one yesterday I think) disabled the automatic profile switch for some applications. The profiles do not switch automatically for Google Chrome or VSCode, but they do work for others like Visual Studio or some games.I tried everything that was suggested in some support threads regarding the faulty profiles switch (there are lots of them apparently, meaning Synapse is quite buggy).Razer, please debug the latest release or give me a link to an older version of Synapse 4.

My rgb doesn't load at system startup. The Synapse 4 and Chroma software ARE running as per settings to run at system startup, and verified with a quick glance at the processes tab in Windows Task Manager.The rgb only loads..when I open ANY Razer software, be it Synapse or Chroma.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the COMPLETE software suite and endured the resultant fiasco of getting everything set back up rgb and scroll wheel tension wise.  ..what in the name of that warm place where bad people go have they done to synapse 4?I’ve already confirmed its not just me, theres an entire Reddit sub full of angry users over there who’d vouch for me. 

I have an Asrock Z690 Taichi Razer edition motherboard. The list of supported devices doesn’t include motherboards and since I’ll lose all my profiles from synapse 3 if I were to switch to 4 right now I’d rather not experiment and see if my motherboard is supported. Is this motherboard supported and are there plans for the motherboard to be supported if it isn’t already?  sorry for the title spelling I’m on mobile and clearly can’t type. 

For a while now Razer Synapse 4 was working great and I had no issues with it but today I opened it and it started to crash over and over a few seconds after opening - at one point it looked like it was going to try to install an update but then it said installation failed and crashed. I tried restarting my laptop and also uninstalling synapse and going to the website to download the latest version of the installer and reinstalling it but this also failed. I am running on a razer blade 18 (2024) with rtx4090 and intel core i9 14900hx on windows 11 latest udate

I’ve recently had issues with my Razer Nommo V2 Pro speakers not being detected by Razer Synapse 4. I get a USB device not detected error in Windows, after hitting the control pod button a couple of times to switch to BT and back to PC, it connects and sound works but the Razer Synapse 4 tab remains blank with ‘detecting device’ and I cannot change any settings. FIrmware and Synapse are updated to the latest versions. I’ve had constant issues with these speakers not connecting properly with my PC and do regret my purchase somewhat. Please assist.  

Third day of owning Tartarus PRO. Old user of Razer keypads. Today all of a sudden my thumb buttons stopped respecting bindings. They act as default (arrows keys). Restarted Synapse, restarted PC - no luck.Debug/testing:create new profile assign anything on any thumb button it works assign anything on any other button thumbs get back to default (arrows) from now on you can not make thumbs work with assigned actions unless the profile is deleted.Resetting all other settings does not help. Nothing helps except deleting the profile and create a new one. Goto #1. How do I make them work now? Total reinstalling Synapse? Rollback to S3? What?

The THX Game Profiles just don’t work at all, first there’s no games or apps recognized automatically, second when I try to add a executable and confirm it literally does nothing a the list continues empty, I just upgraded to windows 11 and the issue also happened in windows 10, so reinstalling synapse don’t work, pls help

Blackwidow V4 Pro and Synapse 4 installed.If Synapse is running and I run other certain apps, like a music streaming app, multimedia keys don’t work there and volume control stops working. As soon as I exit the music streaming app, volume control shows up reacting to the roll bar with significant delay. But sometimes it stops working at all. Only if I exit Synapse, it’ll be working.I tried all the steps proposed by support documentation, like rei-installation of the keyboard driver, Windows update and clean re-installation of Synapse, but they didn’t work.

I finally made the switch to Synapse 4 and found the contents of the Synapse and Chroma app windows would flicker and glitch like crazy. Luckily I’ve seen this once before and know it happens when an app doesn’t play nice with G-Sync variable refresh rate. The workaround is to create a program profile in the GeForce drivers to enforce Vertical sync for the RazerAppEngine.

I can't add any games to Linked Games. The games are visible in the list (under the + button), but nothing happens when I click the "ADD" button. After a fresh Synapse 4 install both my Naga Trinity and Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed are seemingly stuck “Detecting Device...” There is another thread about this but it was locked after the first response so if they found a fix it’s in private messages… That being said, both my headset and keyboard are being detected just fine. My mice drivers are up to date and my Synapse is version 4.0.86.2411140357. Synapse 3 also had no problems detecting either mouse.  

Since updating Synapse 4 today, my Kraken V3 Pro is detected.. works fine.. the tab shows up in Synapse.. but when you click on the tab it’s completely blank.  Tried reboot, still blank.  Every other device shows up fine with their settings.

Hi everyone,My device: Razer Blade 18 (2024) – Intel i9-14900HX / RTX 4080 / Windows 11 Home I’m having an issue where Razer Synapse doesn’t start automatically with Windows, or if it does, it launches very late after the system boots. Until Synapse finally loads, my keyboard shows random lighting effects instead of my saved Chroma profile. Here’s what I’ve already tried (without success): Enabled “Start Razer Synapse on system startup” in the settings. Checked Task Manager → Startup tab (Synapse is enabled). Made a custom Task Scheduler entry to start Synapse at login (with and without delay). Set Synapse to run as administrator. Verified that Razer Synapse Service and Razer Central Service are set to “Automatic” and running. Reinstalled Synapse completely (including deleting leftover Razer folders from AppData and Program Files). Despite all this, Synapse still doesn’t appear in the system tray after boot, and the lighting only applies if I manually open the app. Is there any reliabl

Ever since I downloaded Synapse 4, I have been plagued with the following problems:While mic monitoring is enabled, I can hear a faint echo of myself on a delay, on top of the existing intentional side tone. This means I hear myself twice, once the normal way, and again shortly after and quieter. It sounds like the “Listen to this device” feature in Windows input settings. While mic monitoring is enabled, my output volume is lowered to about half of its output. However, Windows and the Razer Synapse app say that its still at 100%. This makes everything super duper quiet.I have reinstalled Synapse SEVERAL times, going as far as getting more and more exhaustive with my removal methods. I first enlisted the official guide for reinstalling Synapse on Windows, but this did not resolve the issue. I need help with an issue that just started recently: I have the Tartarus Pro.I map my dpad/joystick button, usually to numbers on my keyboard (1 through 4 in this example)I also change a few of the keys on the keyboard portion. (Caps gets changed to CTRL, C gets changed to ALT, and the keybind switch button gets changed to M).For some reason, I’ll map the dpad to those numbers listed above and as soon as I map one of the other keyboard keys its like the profile forgets. It shows up in Synapse 4 as remaped correctly but it doesn't work. The keyboard remaps (CTRL, ALT, M) work correctly but the dpad just defaults even though they show remapped in Synapse 4. Any suggestions? I have reinstalled Synapse 4, factory reset etc.

Now can switch ANC on/off or ambient, but cannot adjust ANC level in Synapse 4 version 4.0.86.2601160905 and beta version 4.0.86.2511170410.Synapse 3 and Audio app are correctly. Since 02-Nov-2024, I reported this issue to Razer Support staff.By the way, last month (10-Dec-2025) Razer Support staff replied me that they tried to fixed.What are Razer doing?

I just cannot fight version 4 anymore, its absolute trash. Went back to 3 and will deal with any issues after Jan. 20th 2026 or just replace all my gear.
