Question for the Barracuda users

I ordered the Razer Barracuda. I read you'd have to enable Gaming mode through the Synapse software.

Is it possible to remove Synapse and keep Gaming mode on?

If not, what if you enable it through the Razer app on the phone instead. Will Gaming mode be enabled for any Bluetooth device or only your phone?
