Hi Razer Team,

Why is the release cadence so slow? We haven’t had an update for a while.

Synapse hasn’t been updated since July

Ditto with why it’s taking so long to add the most recent Blade laptops to the supported devices (or just more supported devices generally)

Many of the updates in the beta happen silently and automatically in the background, generally during startup. If you’re asking about updates that include product support, we will announce them as they happen. We understand that many of the users are looking forward to their device being supported, I am one of them, but there is a schedule for it. It’s still a closed beta so things will happen at a different cadence than they would an open beta.

isn’t this the whole point of a “closed beta” so updates/device support get pushed fast for testing purpose before it gets released into an open beta? or are we at the stage of tripple A company video game “beta” which is just a sneak peek of the release version without actual testing purpose

That’s a fair opinion. We can even chalk it up to semantics if you’d like, regardless, it isn’t going to speed up the process. The closed beta is actually invite-only, but people were finding their way into the closed beta, and a decision was made not to exclude those wanting a sneak peek. We absolutely appreciate the interest and are well aware that participation is mostly limited to those who have supported devices, however this is the state of the “closed beta.” We understand that this isn’t ideal for many of you, but nevertheless we appreciate your patience and support.
