Question

Orochi V2 Dongle Not Working

RangerNylo

I’ve been using my Orochi mouse for awhile, about as long as I’ve had my laptop, and the dongle randomly started disconnecting before it finally stopped working. When it’s plugged in, my laptop keeps giving the disconnect and reconnect alert with no luck on a connection but when switching to bluetooth, the mouse is able to connect and work fine. I tested the dongle on my wife’s laptop and there was still no connection as well as cleaned out my own ports with normal usbs connecting as normal so I’ve been able to narrow the problem down to an issue with the dongle’s receiver.

Try this, usually can resolve most issues with dongles as long as the model is supported

No luck, the dongle won’t stay connected long enough for the program to properly recognize it. It keeps connecting and disconnecting as soon as it’s plugged in.

Then the dongle is fried.

If you still have valid warranty, then I’d RMA whole mouse.

I’ve had it for a few years so warranty might be out by now. Bluetooth connection still works at least so I’ll just have to stick with that for now until that goes out too.

A few years for anything is a darn good run honestly… my dad has had his Orochi V2’s for like 4yrs and they still work (but he doesnt use his computer that much these days as well due to them having some unresolvable issues and the mere fact that its just old)

Then you might buy the dongle only separately (currently out of stock, but you can sign up for notification and get one once it’ll be available again): https://www.razer.com/replacement-parts-mice/Razer-Mice-Keyboards-USB-HyperSpeed-Dongle/RC30-03420100-R3M1
