It's currently at 4% battery and even if I plug in the cable and turn the mouse off if will just flash red. But as you can probably tell the mouse is receiving electricity because otherwise it wouldn't light up red if I have turned it off.
The same thing happens to me, it is at 4% battery and it increases, and the mouse, base and cable are in good condition; It must be something software

I ended up opening the mouse. I then disconnected the battery, bridged the pins to make sure it's properly "off" and then it worked again via cable. Still no luck with the charging station, the pins look like they're pushed to far in but Idk.
If you haven't replaced your mouse skates yet (I replaced them with glass ones a while back and they came off quite easily compared to the originals) it will be very hard to get them of in one piece.
