The system is so unfair doesn’t matter  how hard you try, they already picked the Grand prize winner eariler. The system always 1 minute late to show our team gameplay time, but Grand prize,2rd prize already been fully redeem within 1 minute!  Why other team always get 1 minute ahead eventhough we run the game all together? More worst that it show that my teammate has less gameplay time but actually he run the game 5 hours earlier before the reset time! Where is that missing time? After 1 minute it only the system calculate and show our gameplay time that we are on rank 1 but Grand prize,2rd prize already been fully redeemed by that time within 1 minute! And doesn’t make any sense 1 of the teammate has extra 1 minute. See on the screenshot.

Hey @grazcy ,

Thank you for sharing your concern about the gameplay time gap. We understand that this can be frustrating for users who fail to claim a prize after dogged efforts. Please allow us to explain below.

A few factors can affect the gameplay time gap.

After a supported game is detected to be launched and running for 5 minutes, Razer Cortex will send the gameplay information to backend servers. Network issues such as slow network or VPN access may disrupt the process. If so, Razer Cortex will attempt to send the gameplay information in the subsequent minute. This may cause a time gap between the gameplay time you have spent and the gameplay time recorded.

Playing games when the reset time occurs may affect your chance to redeem a prize as your gameplay time may not be reflected immediately on the leaderboard. Thus, it is advisable to relaunch the supported game when the daily reset time occurs.

The leaderboard ranking is a tracker to help you compare your progress with other top squads-information which can help you plan what Razer Silver prizes you want to claim. It will not affect your ability to redeem the prize in Squad Rewards.

You can find more information about the leaderboard ranking mechanism here: https://deals.razer.com/squad-rewards/faq?#ranking.

If none of the above is your case, please feel free to provide us with your squad member’s Cortex logs via pm for us to further investigate this issue.

We truly appreciate your feedback and patience.

Michelle

we not even playing it we just launch it before reset time all the time. Nobody will only launch the game after reset time that will be 5 minutes delay as you said cortex only detect after running 5 minutes. They should make it sending record every sec. If you talking about the network that’s mean people who live far from US will never get the grand prize.

Even after 3 minutes it still said we didnt fully earn the 220 hours after refresh it for so many times. And all the Grand prize are fully redeemed.

Hey @grazcy,

We are sorry that your team did not claim the grand prize. Thank you for taking part in our campaign.

Even though Razer Cortex sends the gameplay information to backend servers after a supported game is detected to be launched and running for 5 miniutes, your gameplay time will be updated once Razer Cortex detects that the game is no longer running on your PC.

If you play in the middle of a game when the daily reset time occurs, your gameplay time will still be detected by Razer Cortex. However, this may not be reflected immediately on the leaderboard which may affect your chance to redeem a Razer Silver prize.

As we’ve pointed it out on our Leaderboard Ranking page:

After a supported game is detected to be launched and running for 5 minutes, Razer Cortex will send the gameplay information to backend servers.

Network issues such as slow network or VPN access may disrupt the process. If so, Razer Cortex will attempt to send the gameplay information in the subsequent minute. This may cause a time gap between the gameplay time you have spent and the gameplay time recorded.

Razer Cortex will continue to record every 5 minutes of gameplay time. Your gameplay time will be updated once Razer Cortex detects that the game is no longer running on your PC.

What happens if I am in the middle of a game when the daily reset time occurs?

Your gameplay time will still be detected by Razer Cortex. However, this may not be reflected immediately on the leaderboard which may affect your chance to redeem a Razer Silver prize. Thus, it is advisable to relaunch the supported game when the daily reset time occurs.

Hope my explaination helps. Thank you again for taking part in our campaign.
