7.1 Surround Sound Not Working

my 7.1 surround sound has been working for about a year when i bought it. it wasn't working for only this time either, i've had this problem since at least april.

    sorry for not being specific, i meant that i couldn't hear any audio

    that's okay, i figured it out, you have to uninstall 7.1 surround sound and reinstall it, i tried it yesterday and it worked
