A Synapse-enabled device is needed to set hotkeys/global shortcuts

I used to own a Razer keyboard up until I sold it recently. One of the things I realized after switching to a non-Razer keyboard is that I can't set any more hotkeys for the global shortcuts. Regular hotkeys can still be set using other software. But for hotkeys specific to Razer such as Chroma profile switching or device profiles - tough luck.

I still have a Razer mouse and switching profiles for it is a little inconvenient having to open that little system tray menu over simply having a hotkey for it. What do you guys think of this limitation? Does anybody know a way around it?
