Blackshark V2 Pro Mute button Issues since last update

Hello since Firmware Version 2.2.0.0 for the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro, the mute button does not function porperly or functions in a weird way on Windows 11. When I press it, it mutes the microphone which is correct, but it also Turns the microphones input value in Windows to 0. The issue is when I press the button to unmute again, it does not set it back to the value it had before and it stays at 0 which means my friends and teammates are unable to here me everytime I unmute via the headsets button.

 

Can you fix this issue? I think the button does not need to touch the Windows input Volume, as it is possible to just press a “Mute” in windows itself, so IDK why it turns the input Volume to 0 anyway as it in addition uses the Windows Mute function.

 

Thanks for your help in advance and I hope this will be fixed in future updates, otherwise the mute button is going to be a hassle to use.

      Same thing for my Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 headset.  There was at least one other post reporting the same issue.  Please fix!

        Today when I checked it’s working fine. I noticed this issue on 21st on my old PC, then on 23rd I upgraded my PC (CPU, MB and RAM) and after that I noticed there is no issue with the MIC. I didn’t installed the Synapse software, I will try installing the software and check. Without the software the MIC buttons works. Let me try with the Synapse installed.

        Yes, it’s working for me after installing and a restart. My version is SYNAPSE FOR WINDOWS - V4.0. [removed by moderator]

        We really need a fix here. The fact that this happened after an update is annoying as hell. No replies from the support team as well.

          If you don’t need it, close Razer Synapse. I had the exact same symptoms and they were resolved by killing Synapse. The Blackshark headset has a physical hardware-based mute button that it prevents the headset from sending a signal out to the computer.

           

          Synapse seems to detect when you push that button and also decides to mute your microphone in windows as well as setting mic volume to 0, so you are effectively triple-muted. When you try to turn the mic back on with the headset button, Synapse unmutes windows, but doesn’t reset the mic volume back to where it was, so you remain effectively still muted.

           

          Close Synapse and when you push the mute button on the headset, nothing in windows changes, then pushing the headset button again just reactivates the mic on your headset and it works normally.

           

          Not sure why Razer made this change unless its for people with multiple microphones who want to disable all of them via windows using the button on a wireless headset?

            If you don’t need it, close Razer Synapse. 

            This is the only “fix” for now… but it’s not a good one, as you lose a lot of stuff.

            For example, you won’t be able to check battery level.

            I don’t understand why Razer decided to leave this unaknowledged for so long. I’m sure they are aware of the issue, but I haven’t seen a single response from them.

            I experienced the same thing. I installed Windows completely, and everything worked correctly until I installed Razer Synapse. Then the problem returned.
