Blade 15 advanced not charging
My Laptop is not charging when plugged in and the charging cable is not even detected.
I have already followed along with the manual on the razer support page, i. e. uninstalling the driver and rebooting the system and my laptop is still not charging, even after I ran trough that twice.
There is no issue with the charger itself, the green light is on.
Does anyone has an idea what's going on? I need this laptop for uni and work.
I have the same issue with my Stealth 13" laptop now which leutnantkartoffel noted above. The charger will charge my phone OK, so the power brick is working. Laptop will charge a phone so the laptop port is working.
Anybody got any ideas?
You don't happen to have a USB-C 65-100W charger handy? I had a similar thing happen to my early 2021 RB 15 advanced. I bought a new 230W Razer charger even though my original had the green light on it; this made no difference - it still didn't charge. I bought a USB-C charger and plugged that in, and the 230W charger started charging again. Would be interested to know if yours does the same.
No, I tried a new 65W charger (same as the original power brick rating) but still nothing detected by the laptop.
I had the 230W power adapter plugged into the laptop and turned on when I plugged in the USB-C charger. I don't know if that made a difference or not. Have you checked for swollen battery issue? And did you try the USB-C charger in both the USB3 port, and the TB port (left-hand side, and right-hand side of the laptop respectively)?
I tried that, but it didn't work unfortunately. Waiting for Razer to get back to me again - I just sent it in and had the swollen battery replaced, so I'm a bit disappointed this wasn't all checked out when they completed the battery repair... seems like a kind of obvious thing to do, especially as I had pointed out that the charger wasn't being detected...
Same exact problem here... So support from Razer. They offered to charge me a diagnostic fee and send my charger in for repair. It is not a charger problem. I did everything on the trouble shooting website, and I even reinstalled windows , did a bios update and took the laptop to a repair shop. Nothing works. Power adapter is still not recognized.
I sent the laptop back in (free shipping etc as you would expect) and they said it needed a new power adapter. It has now been returned and the USB-C port is now detecting both the power supply as well as all peripherals. I'm not sure how a new external power adapter can force the USB ports to start working again? I wonder if they also changed/repaired the internal usb-c daughter card?
