Deathadder elite buttons (side and dpi change) not working

Hello, the side and dpi changing buttons on my deathadder elite are not working, i can configure them but when i click it just does nothing. I've tried the following things: - fresh install of synapse - tried the mouse on different pc/laptop - updated windows - updated razer synapse the buttons seem to be mechanicaly fine
