DeathAdderV3Pro FirmwareUpdater_v2.00.03_r1 not working

When trying to update my Deathadder v3 pro with the firmware released today (v2.00.03_r1 https://rzr.to/PwFn7g) I get the error message that Synapse or some other software is running and needs to be closed before I can update.

Thing is, Synapse is not running, all Razer background processes are shut down as well as all services.

I tried installing the update in windows safe mode and with a different pc, no luck.

The dongle update (v1.03.00) went through just fine.

Hi @ScottFraser.,

Have you already tried rebooting your PC and check for Synapse updates for further isolation? You can also try using a different USB port and reinstall the mouse’s driver. If that didn’t help, PM me the serial number so I can verify its model and check my resources for model-specific steps to help you address the problem. Thanks!

@Razer.Zionzedd thank you for offering your help. For what ever reason I was able to update the firmware with my work laptop

Gaming PC, Win11 22H2 22621.2506, with synapse installed, did not work

I tried different USB ports, different cables, and windows safe mode

My own laptop, fresh windows install, Win11 23H2 22631.2428, did not work

I tried different USB ports, different cables, and windows safe mode

Work laptop, Win10 some version and all kinds of background processes running, worked without any issues.

I've got the same issue as you my friend. I've sent an email to the support team. Looking forward for answers.

I have the same problem with the update

I also have exactly the same issue.

Tried everything, nothing works.

Found a solution. Remove synapse 3. Reboot. Then in the device manager, completely remove the device with the mark complete removal of Dethadder 3 pro in the HID menu. Reboot. Install Synapse 3 by downloading the version from the website. Reboot. Make sure that synapse 3 sees the device. Start updating according to the instructions. From the 2nd time in exactly this sequence I achieved a successful update.

Tried that, but not working for me

Tried that, but not working for me

The problem is that when the firmware starts, the device is overridden. I didn't succeed the first time.  GL

I’m having the same issue. I’ve tried across four different computers (my main Win 11 gaming PC, two laptops with fresh Win 10 installs, and one Win 10 work laptop like OP). I ran through Mr.Guard’s suggestion a few times on two different computers. No luck. My DAV3 Pro just refuses to update, and since my Hyperpolling Dongle WAS able to update I can’t connect my DAV3 Pro to it anymore.

Doesn't it work with the native dongle either? To update the mouse itself, you only need a cable. I tried it on a laptop with Windows 10, but there was no result. Then I tried it again on my gaming computer with Win 11 23h2. I’m deleting specifically to HID devices; I deleted almost everything for the first time. Then I removed only the mouse and keyboard.

I’ve actually misplaced the native dongle, this was never a problem since the Hyperpolling dongle worked great. I’ve been using the cable that came with the mouse to attempt the firmware update. On my PC (also Windows 11 23H2) in device manager I have two entries under HID and two under ‘Mice and other pointing devices’ that match the DAV3, I’ve tried different combinations of removing them with no luck unfortunately.

Edit: I got the mouse to update. I uninstalled Synapse, used the Razer Device Detection Troubleshoot Tool (available here https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5776/kw/driver%20tool). Step 2 of the tool removed a bunch of drivers. I tried updating the firmware after they were removed and it worked.

doesnt work for me :/

Got it to work.
1. Disconnect all Razers
2. Uninstall all Razer softwares & *clean drivers
 https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5776/kw/driver%20tool
3. restart
4. connect Razer mouse, wait 1 minute or until its name is recognized in Windows Devices (Bluetooth, even if wired)
5. Do the same 4. for all Razers including dongles
6. Install Synapse (I installed Synapse, Cortex, and THX at the same time)
7. wait a bit until Synapse recognizes all devices
8. try install firmware again

After all steps, i recommend the check version of driver in device manager.

My version is 10.0.15063.0

DATE  30.05.2022

Windows likes to install its driver from 2017. And make two devices.

THIS WORK FOR ME

I managed to find a fix idk how it worked but when I clicked on the update button I unplugged the mouse with the ubs-c cable, the update itself it was stuck at 0% and after 1 minute it said for me to reconnect the mouse, I did that and the update continued wtf, the I paired my mouse with the dongle again because it was unpaired since I tried to many things and also on the pairing I moved my mouse and clicked on it untill it paired, hope it works for someone else aswell
