HapticService Event Flooding Application Log


I just re-installed Windows 11 24H2, and along with it, Synapse 4.  I’ve noticed that an event from HapticService is flooding my application log with 30 events like this every second.

From event details:
[Interhaptics.HapticService] Command processed received by the progam Synesthesia-to play an haptic buffers on 0 different devices

  • Disabling the Haptic Service in Services makes this stop, but I’m not sure what impact that would have. 
  • I have a Nari Ultimate headset and tried turning off the haptic feedback, but that seems to have no effect.  These events also happen if the headset is on or off.
  • No games or audio apps are running either.


Anyone seeing simliar or have any ideas?

Found this on google and I’m seeing the same thing, I have a Razer keyboard with Synapse 4 installed but I’m wondering why you think this is related to Razer? Is it because the of  Synesthesia part of the event (that’s the part I can’t figure out, wth is  Synesthesia ?)

Yeah, took me a bit to link it as well, but found the HapticService.exe is signed by Razer.



As far as Synesthesia, seems to be related to Razer Chroma.

Hi everyone, I ran into the exact same problem and solved it really easily—by uninstalling everything from Razer and reinstalling the drivers. The only difference was that I installed Synapse 3, and now it no longer fills up the logs.

Hey everyone,

So, the other day my PC just totally froze up on me. I had to force restart it, but no joke, it would freeze again like, not even a few minutes later.

I booted into Safe Mode and checked the Event Viewer, and guess what? Turns out it was the Razer "HapticService" going nuts and spamming a crazy amount of requests that was causing all the trouble.

I ended up fixing it by just going into the service's folder and uninstalling the thing.

The funny part is, I don't even use Razer headphones! It must have installed with my keyboard software, so it didn't even affect me not having it. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else runs into this.

I also reverted back to Synapse 3. I noticed that Synapse 4 was using a lot more CPU than I wanted, on top of introducing this HapticService issue.  None of these are issues in Synapse 3 so far.

Same issue for me as well hapticservice spamming the logs,
