I own a razer viper mini. It has a 2 years of warranty life. I purchased it in July 2022.

Recently it started giving trouble and I filled a replacement form.

In response, they said the model you own has been discontinued to manufacturer and now you need to pay extra charges of 500 rupees. In return you will receive razer viper 8k. 

But the warranty won't be increased. The warranty of this new mouse will be only till July 2024. 

 

The problem is-

why should I pay extra charges if my product has started malfunctioning within the warranty period? 

I don't think it's required to pay extra money for something you have a warranty.
