I replaced the Battery for Razer Blade 15 2018 (Advanced Model) but it won't turn on.


My battery swelled up, so I bought another battery from Amazon: the same model and everything. I replaced the swollen one, but I found it strange that the laptop wouldn't turn on or run when I plugged it in without the battery, which I read is possible, and worked on my last Razer laptop. Now after putting in the new battery it still won't turn on. I don't think it's the battery since it's brand spanking new and my friend thinks it's the charger but the charger was working perfectly fine prior to me opening up the laptop and replacing the battery. Does anyone have any insight and any advice on how I could fix this?

Did you already try the steps here for further isolation? Should the problem persists, don’t hesitate to PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and check for other model-specific steps to help you address the issue. Thanks!

Yeah I tried these steps. I’ll PM you the serial number.


Update: It turns on now. Didn’t do anything differently. Just plugged it on as one more futile attempt and it worked.
