I recently ran into a key problem with my 4 year old Razer Blackwidow Elite. When I press the u key, nothing happens, and when I press the c key, it goes 67yyyyyyyyyy and the y repeats forever... Until I either pick the keyboard up sideways or I change the volume control with the volume knob. I've tried the following:
1. Removed all keycaps and cleaned thoroughly
2. Unscrewed the base and opened up the keyboard to clean inside. I cleaned everything I could see but not the area between the board holding the switches and the keycaps between since they were soldered on
3. Updated drivers
4. Did hard reset (unplugged and held esc and caps lock plugging in)
5. Exited Razer Synapse
6. Cried a little
I do have 2 cats and suspect there may be cat hair that got between the soldered board with switches and the keycaps. Am I screwed and will I need I replace? Or are there other last resort options for trying to fix this?
