Question

Kraken V3 hypersense wired

I can’t seem to update the firmware for my brand new kraken v3 hypersenses, the wired version. I downloaded the file required on my computer, but on the screen when it says to connect the headset to my PC via usb, I do and nothing happens, it acts like I didn’t plug anything in,  it doesn’t list the current version or anything, I know the headset works because YouTube audio came come through it.

Have you tried plugging the device into a different port and seeing if it detects it for the update etc? I’ve had a similar issue, and that allowed me to update mine.

Sometimes it has to be a different port. While running the installer for the update, disconnect it from where it currently is connected, and reconnect it, see if it detects it. If not, try reconnecting it to a different USB port, preferably one on the back of your motherboard or front of your case that you are confident is getting a good solid reading. You, dear user, did nothing wrong, these things just happen sometimes.

Let us know what happens?

Good luck (said in a wholesome and sincere way).

  • Disconnect the headset from your PC.
  • Download and run the Razer Kraken V3 HyperSense Firmware Updater from this link.
  • Restart your PC after running the tool.
  • Reconnect the headset to your PC via USB. Make sure you’re using a direct USB port on the motherboard (preferably USB 3.0) rather than a port on the PC case or a USB hub.
