The Mini-LED Multi-Zone Backlight Control is not still implemented in the Synapse App and since it has been more then 3 months, I’ve spoken with Most German Blade 16 owners who have Mini Led models both BOE and AUO.
More than 50 so Far and we Have Deiced to Join in a Class action Lawsuit aginst Razer as this are very expensive devices That Cost around 5000€.
Razer has ignored or Lied to most of us Has not indicated when they are planing to add the Prommised Features, As the product they sell is very not finished with Known sleep Issues and Mini Led Issues as well as Wake From sleep issues.
Now there would either be an solution to the problems users have if not then I would like to ask everyone regardles of where you are to PM me so we can make the Lawsuit bigger..

Yeah to me they straight refused any repair or any support because I did not buy the device from them directly so, Honestly, I have not come close to what to do next with them the class action is ongoing but the first time it was stopped because we saw they added the option in synapse but then they removed it form 2023 models and only made it work with 2024 I assume because of scamming us to by new machines or save on coding so I have to restart the. I have been refused any kind of support by Razer and they have declared my case as nothing to them..

They told me I was SOL so I told them I was pursuing legal action (which I was) and they eventually offered me either a refund or a 2024 blade 16 oled with the 4080.

Can you tell me which model you had and who supported you with it?
My support team just says we can replace it with a new BOE and nothing else can be offered. So I asked what are they going to do if the BOE I get replaced is also bad and they said since the “laptop specialist” fixes it there should be no worries. That is what I call total BS
The new display will most likely be broken as well. We got two of these laptops, sent both in for repair, and got an AUO and a BOE, both faulty and worse than when we had sent them in. There may be a very slight chance that yours wouldn’t have issues, but it’s probably a waste of time and money on both your side and Razer’s.

do you still have the device with faulty display and maybe considering pursuing legal action? more people help than having just me
Yes, Zehfyr does still have that faulty laptop. We both had 2023 Razer Blade 16 Miniled 4k/1080p display, 32gb ram, intel i9-13950hx, Nvidia RTX 4070 gpu specced laptops. I continuously was on them about replacing my defective device and it took about 2 months to get a solution. I dealt with Aljim from the Escalation team, who multiple times told me “this is all we can do”.
To that, I replied “I understand that you can only do so much but can we please send this to your manager / boss above you?” At some point he agreed to do just that and upon review with their “team” they agreed to give me either a refund or a 2024 blade 16 with OLED, 16gb ram, intel i9-14900hx, and RTX 4070.
I again pushed it past the “this is all we can offer” because I needed 4k for my work, not to mention they tried to offer me a laptop of lower msrp and arguably specs than my original broken laptop. a few days later, they offered me the same laptop now with an RTX 4080, 32gb ram, and the same oled and processor.
I tried yet again for the miniled 4k like my original laptop came with, WHICH WHEN I MENTIONED ON THE PHONE ABOUT A REPLACEMENT OF THE SAME SPEC, specifically MINILED, they said OK. This time, they talked amongst themselves but said they couldn’t offer me anything else, and this was their final offer. I finally settled for it, because I didn’t have too much ground to stand on since they were offering me a device of comparable value.

Yeah I already talked with laptop specialist and the VIP team but they don’t seem to care, I will update you if I find anything about class actions or personal legal actions

Both my brother and I have the 2023 version with BOE panels in our Blade 16’s and neither of us have the option for local dimming. I’ve even tried installing the beta version of Synapse. How are you getting this option?

Yep they removed it cause it was doing nothing that firmware update they been promissing has not been heard of at all we are already an year later since the laptop came out.. Razer support quality really shows it’s true colors with this one...

Is there a class action I can join in on?
I’ve been in contact with Razer “Support” for over 2 months and have gotten NOWHERE! They refuse to answer any of my questions about what they are working on for a fix or when I can expect it. The only thing they ever respond to me with to help me is recommending an rma (which I have to pay for of course) even though they’ll just replace my display with a boe display that will fix nothing.
Unfortunately, I’m not moving the Class Action No-More we were kinda of tricked by Razer to stop because of the one fake fix they supposedly implemented in Synapses and then removed it a month later after we closed the topic back then..
id be glad to join anyone else who might decide to join for a class action the problem is people often scream it but they don’t take the action to actually joining and doing the work and it’s sad because at the end of the day Razer took 5000€ for these devices and did not bother to replace them or fix the issues with them.
Oh that’s unfortunate. I created a post to try to make people aware of the problems. It could of been better written and more detailed but hopefully it helps.
Yeah I think there are like 1000 posts about the mini led problem on the 16 inch 2023 models that’s why razor released so quickly the 2024 models. There is a way to switch the mini led HDR to SDR backlight

After a whole year (and still counting..) of Razer not fixing this, I decided to buy another laptop cause the whole thing is just frustrating to use and misleading. Ended up with the Rog G16 4080 32gb OLED and my god it is literally all I wanted from the start. I find it better than my Blade 16 so its been a paper weight until someone wants to buy it off me :P
Unbelievable support on Razers behalf especially after 100+ support ticket messages, they just tell me the same old: - “We acknowledge that you have been waiting for an extended period, and we truly value your patience during this time. Regrettably, we do not have any new updates regarding the status of the fix. However, we want to assure you that once the fix is available, it will be posted on our support page or sent directly to your device via a Windows update.”
