New Razer Viper V4 Pro Scroll Wheel Not Working

Out of the box new, my Razer Viper V4 Pro scroll wheel dies not work. The scroll wheel can be clicked but not scrolled up or down. I found another forum post and tried all the trouble shooting recommendations that were in the previous forum post. Below is the forum post. Please help.

Does it make any difference when the Razer Synapse software is temporarily disabled? You can also try to reinstall your mouse’s drivers. If that didn’t do the trick, then shoot me a PM along with your Viper V4 Pro’s serial number so I can validate it and check for other workarounds.

Let me assist you with your concern. I understand that on your brand-new Razer Viper V4 Pro, the scroll wheel click works but it won’t scroll up or down at all, and that you’ve already tried the troubleshooting steps from the other post. Please help me answer a few questions below:
 

  1. Have you tested the mouse on another PC or laptop? If yes, does the scroll wheel behave the same way there?
  2. When did the issue start? Was the scroll wheel working normally before?
  3. Does the issue persist when closing the Razer synapse?
  4. If you scroll faster or slower, do you get any response at all, even intermittently?

Also, send me a  PM with your mouse’s serial number, region and a clear copy of your invoice. You can upload it to Google Drive, set it to “Anyone with the link,” then share the link with me so I can check for warranty options. All the best!
