Razer Blackshark V2 X 3.5mm on Laptop with only headphone jack port

To anyone that owns the Black V2 X 3.5mm, is it possible to use both the speaker and mic if you don't have both the headphone and mic port? I only have the headphone port because I'm using a laptop. Because if not then I would have to get the USB and refund this one

It has now come to my attention that my laptop apparently has a combo jack, but now the apparent issue is that the computer isn't picking up the mic that's on the headset. How do I fix this?

Update realtek hd audio app & drivers on the laptop. Laptops have audio jack combo port so it’s able to run both headset + mic within one port.

But realtek audio app should ask which device is connected - is it headset … or headset with mic for example. If it’s not asking for this - it’ll default to headset without mic.
